Grassroots leader hanged himself after quarrel with committee members

A grassroots leader of Holland-Bukit Timah GRC, BBM Mr Loh Meng Hai, Louis hanged himself after a quarrel with fellow committee members of Bukit Timah Beauty World Merchant Association.
During its AGM held on Monday, Mr Loh, who was the Chairman of the association, was accused of “mismanaging” the association’s finances.
Both sides broke into an intense quarrel which lasted till midnight. Mr Loh did not sleep after he returned home. His body was found hanging lifelessly in the storeroom in the morning.
Mr Loh is the treasurer of Bukit Timah CCMC. A wreath from Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, Minister of State, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and MP for Holland-Bukit Timah GRC was noticed at his wake.
Mr Loh has been an active grassroots leader for the last 40 years. He was awarded PBM in 2002 and BBM in 2007.

to the gahmen,with so many workers and executives out of jobs,i say,have a heart and consider to create meaningful jobs for the citizens as in desperate times,desperate families may take desperate actions like sexploitation and drug trafficking.
another serious consideration,keep cost of living affordable,it’s not the time to have “budget surpluses”.
a good gahmen is not merely measured by its ability to accumulate huge surpluses in whatever manner but one that ensures the decent all-rounded well-being of its citizens.

I would say it is wrong to make disparaging remarks about the dead person.
But I would say it is even more wrong for some people to only attack the weak “alternative” views here.

amy, if you so believe in people having their rights to express their “alternative” views, then why are you picking at those who had expressed reservations and indignation at disparaging remarks made against Loh Meng Hai? Are not these “alternative” views as well?

Whether or not we know the cause, or whether he hanged himself, there is no need to criticize the dead. Unless they are Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Saddam Hussein, The Immortal One, etc.

Did you realise that this sentence is aimed at the people who made disparaging remarks about Loh Meng Hai.
