Interview with Kenneth Lin, 15 year old Singaporean who started a petition against Lee Kuan Yew

Written by Our Correspondent

A 15 year old Singaporean by the name of Kenneth Lin has started an online petition against Singapore’s strongman Lee Kuan Yew for his disparaging remarks on Singaporeans made during his interview with the National Geographic Magazine. He is currently studying in a secondary school in Singapore.

Attached below is an email interview we conducted with him:

Temasek Review:

What are the reasons behind you starting the Facebook?

Kenneth:

As a Singaporean, I felt extremely insulted when our MM made those insensitive remarks. It shows that he is completely out of touch with the ground and shows no compassion for Singaporeans, who have been working hard their whole lives. I started this group because I am sick of him making comments like this and getting away with it. He has had his way for too long and now I think we should do something about it for a change, rather than keep quiet in fear.

Temasek Review:

What do you hope to achieve with it?

Kenneth:

I hope to raise awareness about what our MM has said hopefully, this will be a wake up call to Singaporeans who don’t yet know the truth, that our MM only cares about himself and is not the caring leader as portrayed in our history textbooks.

Temasek Review:

Aren’t you afraid of getting into trouble?

Kenneth:

As long as I believe that what I am doing is right, I will not stop doing it, even if I am a little afraid. I believe strongly in Justice.

Temasek Review:

MM Lee is widely regarded as the founding father of Singapore. It appears that you don’t seem to think too much of him. What are your views about him?

Kenneth:

I used to admire him alot. That was before I watch the film One Nation Under Lee in Sec 2 when I learnt of what was really happening in Singapore. That film changed my opinion of him forever. That wise, righteous and heroic image of him that our education system teaches is non-existent, and what I found out was that he was a tyranical despot, bent on destroying anyone who opposed him and controlled the state media for his own greedy needs. But he wasnt always like that. Before he came into power, he was preaching about democracy and freedom to the then chief minister David Marshall. But eventually he got so obsessed with power and money that he lost control and changed forever. As the saying goes, “Absolute power corrupts absolutely”, and I think he is a fine example of that quote.

Starting a petition is one thing. Names calling is another altogether. I suggest TR takes down this article to avoid getting that kid into trouble. Given the cop’s trigger-happy reaction to locking teens and kids up for making online comments (as opposed to acting like timid mice when faced with foreign tiongs/talents, romanian maniac drivers and divine pastors), I forsee this kid’s gonna get some heat…

    This kid really got guts!!

Rather than punishing him, the Singapore Government should engage him and understand the concerns of young Singaporeans.

If a 15-year old Singaporean kid can speak this way, the PAP Government should really take a step back and review all their policies. Change is needed in Singapore.

That’s the way. The PAP and LKY are afraid of looking bad if they sentence teenagers or women for offenses such as criticism of PAP leaders. I reckon he will not be touched… to hard. Maybe a warning from his school via MOE.

Even if he commits an “offence” or defamation, he cannot even be jailed or sued (not even adult at 21 yet)!

At worst he may be sent for reformative training (a form of juvenile detention) but that is surely too much for what he had done “wrong”. If it happens this will be a laughing stock for rule of law in Singapore.

What the 15 yrs boy did was just a small complaint against

Because of internet access, local media can no longer

Its funny that the remarks in the Lee interview with Geo were insulting to the Muslim/Malay community but yet, you dont see MUIS or any other Malay/Muslim organization condemning Lee.

Heck, I’ll bet that most Malay/Muslims in singapore dont even know about the interview. Fortunately enough, I got to know the interview through my friend who is actually eurasian/muslim. When we read the interview, it was so blatantly racist and offensive that there was no time to get angry.

What’s so different about Lee and Pastor Rony? Kudos to this young lad. Though it may seem scripted, theres another word for it.

Its called editing. All publications do that. If they dont, its most likely we would be reading alot of “laaas and leh”.

He has done what his father’s and grandfather’s generation were afraid of doing for fear. And of course the fear was very real indeed.

Now with the dawn of internet the dissemination of news in real time is pretty real.Hence MM’s bag of old tricks does not work in this era anymore.

Now I see some light in the dark tunnel in which we were trapped for more than 50 years….THERE IS HOPE FOR SINGAPORE NOW.

Elated as we are, I would like to suggest to TR to establish whether Kenneth Lin is really what he says he is. Is he really 15 years old? Did he put up the petition on his own initiative? Was the petition scripted and edited by others? We have to ask such questions as the anonymity of the web and precedence of theft identity on the internet make such a news hard to believe without independent verifications. His petition sounds very mature for a 15 year old and I do not want TR and the rest of us be taken for a ride by some Papist ploy and we all ended up looking silly and the Papists score another point in discrediting the vocal internet community of dissidents and critics.

Politicians could not apologise for their mistakes made.
If they do, they lose credibility and integrity, and have to
    resign.
It is altogether different for businessmen and bankers e.g.
Warren Buffet came up to apologise for the investment losses
made during the financial tsunami. You just can’t expect
MM Lee or Ms Ho, being so closely related to the political
elites, to apologise. Ditto, with the geographic Society
    interview about lazy Singaporeans.
But it takes a lot of guts to make an apology on the national
stage, but this may instead encourage respect from the people,
as we are brought up to accept to err is human. But, of course,
it is a different matter in Singapore, esp for a big figure like LKY.

You may wish to find out about Dr Albert Winsemius, which in my opinion was the true architect of modern Singapore. It was not LKY or PAP.

And let us not forgot, it was the PAP that incited the Hock Lee Bus Riots, which they blamed on the ‘communist’ elements of the PAP. But the fact was, it was engineered bring down our first prime minister Mr David Marshall.

And coincidently, PAP & LKY went power-mad went Dr Winsemius passed away in 1996.

On top of the racial discrimination of the Malays who, time and time again have been punished by LKY because, the majority have never voted for the PAP and LKY had a bad experience with Malaysia.

It is good that our youth, are making an effort to change our socio-political landscape for our future. However, we need to remember our history, to avoid the underhanded things the PAP can do to us.

LKY has gotten away with so many misdeeds, that is why he is not afraid to say and do whatever he wants.

He is a dangerous animal who is not afraid to use whatever means necessary to stay in Power or silence the opposition.

To quote from Sun Tzu – The Art of War:
“So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.

Anonymous and the thinking TR bloggers, do you all not agree?? if not than I apologize humbly for being wrong. What we want is a thoroughly independent TR where PAP,PAP supporters, anti govt. anti PAP,pro opposition & most of all civil servants,MPs and even ministers to write in knowing that TR is a level playing field for all.Where everyone irrespective of their thoughts and inclination are most welcome. It is a tough call but unless TR improve their articles and scoops with more finesse and due diligence,it will be considered another Tabloid website slightly better than the run of the mill you commonly find.

TR is an open debating floor. I like it. No one view “prevails”. Some views exert stronger compelling arguments in substance, compelling logic and evidential support.

And TR does NOT censor, I hope not at least, contrary views which I am glad because they provide the “ammunition” and targets for counter-attack of thoughts and views. Inevitably, there will be some histrionics and some are patently trolling to disrupt a rational robust debate. I prefer not to identify them – they know their illogic, pretense of awareness of evidence provided and just rants their illogic incessantly but thinking TR bloggers noticed.

In many other blogs, contrary views are immediately deleted. I see contrary views in TR – well reasoned or otherwise or just plainly mistaken for want of knowledge, information and perhaps worldly experience. Nothing is wrong in being “inadequate” (note I used that word in inverted commas) because we ALL LEARN FROM EACH OTHER.

UNLESS A BLOG IS IN ACTIVE CENSORSHIP, THEN IT IS A MINIATURE REPRESENTATION OF VOICES OUT THERE. TR can’t stop anyone from contributing never mind its own editorial write and the blogger’s own preferred stance. I some times see a string of troll by same author with NO CONTRIBUTING THOUGHTS AT ALL. That is clear evidence of neutrality – not intervening. It tolerates troll which I dislike, personally because I like robust discussion.

I do like to see more and more robust debaters coming here and I am seeing progress on this front. Great informed minds are coming here. It makes TR interest forum to read and participate.

BTW, I am not the party in reference to this link

    http://vipersonic.spaces.live.com/

And I have not even look at it in fairness of truth. I do NOT prejudge if Kenneth Lin exist or it is an incognito but if his blog is him, it is a marvel of a great provocative learning mind deserving of my admiration – be it for his business or political future.

TR is a useful platform where divergent views can be heard. However, it seems that TR enjoys promoting views that opposes the PAP regardless whether the views are sensible or otherwise.

I urge TR to focus on the issue rather the person if TR wants to be regarded as a credible media. Is hard to believe that a 15 year-old is capable of using such language to express his view.

Now, what is strong with SM Lee’s view that overtime, Singaporeans have become less hard-striving and hard-driving? There is a saying, “if you don’t take chilli, you won’t feel hot!” If you are hard-driving and hard-striving than the view does not apply to you.

I have worked with many Singaporean entrepreneurs – and by nature, they have to work very hard. And you solicit their views, many would agree that foreign workers tend to be more hard-driving. Of course, there are many hard working Singaporeans among them.

I remember a Taiwanese saying “if the stomach is not hungry, our will is in no hurry!” Use the view expressed by SM Lee to impress on your children and children’s children it would be useful for life.

But use your common sense. Sooner or later the PAP will have to lose power. It can be 100 years later but sooner or later, and by hook or by crook. If we don’t have alternative parties able to take over, things may

Part of LKY’s trick is to make his family and PAP indispensable – “without me, Singapore cannot survive” concept

The Qing Dynasty in China lasted 266 years and was almost invincible in the beginning, but still fail in the end. However its effects lasted much longer, wars, chaos, HK and Macau was lost to foreign rule for 100 years.

Therefore the earlier, alternative parties come up, the better for Singapore in the long run.

I like to believe that nobody or party is indispensable including LKY and PAP. There are 60,000 Civil Servants that are supposed to serve the people and not PAP). There are 3.2 million Singapaporeans in Singapore. All these people cannot be all daft, right?

TR editorial is anything BUT JUST ONE VIEW. The views on any thread in TR are 99% those of the bloggers. I have NOT seen TR taking sides especially when debates get robust.

That makes TR relevant and attractive to readers and forummers. You cannot get the same flavor of robust debate in MSM – a regular diet of fictions and make belief there. You don’t even get an informed read of divergent uncensored views in MSM.

But things are changing. The migration to internet is as natural and it is reversibly logical as democratization of information and informed judgments. We getting a lot of benefits in TR from everywhere else except the warped judgment and political prejudices of ivory tower and vested political interests.

For the first time, people are seeing a lot beneath the usual camouflage of lies, deception and misinformation. When they see a lot of dysfunctional outcomes of policy decision impacting Singaporeans’ lives superficially explained of in arrogant contempt of reality, the citizenry will know it is time for inevitable change TO MAKE THINGS WORK not for change sake.

THE OLD HOAX OF ARGUING that citizenry is “OPPOSING FOR THE SAKE OF OPPOSING” is running down a dry ravine of river beds – the sunlight of truth is drying that empty rhetorics faster than it can flow downstream of no believability. People are making informed choices as time slip by.

The world has shrink from global village to a congested household. The day Obama lost grip of Democratic control of his key policy agenda plank is the day his reform agenda crash and they will impact massively the global political economic landscape. And if we are not economically robust to withstand those shocks as we are now, the rate of sinking will be faster to the stage of really being a ill-fame “SINK-gapore.

A disintegrated economy and a handcuffing political dogmatism is NOT something a rational mind can support of ANY political party in an era of turbulent change heading for a climax which some societes might tank to no recovery.

We face hard choices AND THEY HAD BETTER BE INFORMED CHOICES, not reckless gambling rammed down our throats when consequences are irreversible just like migration influx.

The nuclear power energy option and perils of underground living and transportation mode are at the back of my tortured mind.

I seriously believe this 15-year-old is a fraud. Realistically speaking, Singaporean youth in general today are politically apathetic. Such a bold move like this is likely to cause him rejection from all public schools, blacklisting forever which is tantamount to a lost future unless he decides to leave Singapore. I think there is very very few young people out there with enough balls to do it.

It is my view that the Electoral Commission should be apolitical.

The working relationship of the EC to PMO should be one of Ministerial “advice to” PM why changes were made and no accountability to the incumbent PM for those changes made. Neither is feedback nor advice from the PMO is to be sought nor warranted in any circumstances. It should be a one-way relationship, not a bilateral consultation relationship because it is about electoral representation, NOT ABOUT GOVERNANCE.

And any boundary changes should only reflect demographic SIZE changes so that the electoral representation (whosoever got elected) adequately reflect the population density shifts it represents i.e. not artificially too big or too small for each single ward.

No political party should have a say on how boundary changes are decided. Politicians should fight on the merits of their policy achievements or failure and nothing else.

And there should be no boundary changes within 3 years from the date of election to discourage frequent gerrymandeering and once that is done, it should not be any boundary changes within the next 2 elections thereafter to provide fair opportunities to all parties to cultivate grassroot support.

P.S. Gorbachev did NOT topple down the USSR intentionally. If you studied history deep enough, you’d realise he’s just a lucky pawn/mess-up in the whole scheme of the Cold War. He was inherently a commie but wanted to reform the USSR to adopt antithetical libralism and capitalism. He NEVER wanted to bring down the USSR. But of course, his changes opened the Pandora’s box that eventually led to its demise, basically he screwed up as a commie leader. Why do you think he was usurped by Yeltsin in 1990? The West “crowned” him a hero for defeating USSR for them but in truth it was just a case of “oops you messed up your country, but hey, oh well you helped us defeat communism so here, have a nobel prize”.

Though in all due respect, Gorby rocks because he brought down the number of WMDs back in the 1990s with Reagan. And last point, Gorbachev had power and the means for change (he was the blardy GenSen of USSR hello) and hence he got change (albeit not in the way he wanted :P ) Similarly, in colonial wars, disorganised peasant rebellions and lone attacks do not bring down the gvt. It is those who slowly climb up the political ladders and stage coups that eventually succeed. Hence my point that while it is noble for a small person to speak out, it is also more effective if one has power to some extent.

    Peace out.

Gorby had not much choice – economic pressure. It is NOT just the WMD deal with Reagan. The arms race was too costly to maintain compared to the financial power of western capitalism could afford. The alternative could be mass starvation.

Much of Soviet military industrial complex was “dismantled” – the amount of scrap metal flooding the market depressed (metal) commodities prices for considerable period after that.

  • CitizenReddot,

    Hahahahahahahaha…

Actually, this issue is like Kong Ming urging Zhou Yu to break down the armies of Cao Cao at Chi Bi if I were to blog about it.

I can generally say this, the gahmen probably unlikely to import foreigners for the elections, and if the gahmen relies on the influx for election success, it’d drag itself to its own demise. Hahahahahahahaha…

But then and again… A weak opposition won’t stand to gain or lose too much with such changes. To be honest, this influx has always been in my calculation for a migrant state as Singapore.

Which is why I don’t understand… Why people are so excited over such puny factor.

If I feel like blogging about this topic, you’d get to know why. It’s really a small factor in the success of election that won’t change the script.

I look forward to the players to put up an exciting show. Hahahahahahaha…

    Hahahahahahaha~

Avoid any fray for such unnecessary triviality. If you want a fray, you will have to start standing for election. But now is not the best time.

Trust me. Wait for the incumbent to surrender powers, become uncompetitive, then all we have left to handle will be motherfuckers and incompetent elements who (eg) will suggest chopping all the trees to unblock views.

At which time, avoid the fray, just watch the show. Hahahahahahahaha…

Move to the position where power will drop into your mouth itself. Let those silly crackpots who can’t even handle basic domestic affairs to fight for powers.

Join me later on to clean up the mess, and I’d make all of you New Fathers of Singapore. Hahahahahahaha…

    Another’s mess is one man’s treasure. Hahahahahahaha…

    Hahahahahahahahahaha…

If KLY doesn’t care then he wouldn’t have said anything all. His remarks might be insensitive and hurtful(thats the way how this man work, he have something to say he says it without flowery words), but it is much better know it truth then live in a lie. The last few generations of Singaporeans have worked hard their whole live , but the current youths, like Kennith here, hardly ever or never worked their whole live.

Kennith wrote: “I used to admire him alot. That was before I watch the film One Nation Under Lee in Sec 2 when I learnt of what was really happening in Singapore. That film changed my opinion of him forever. ”

If your opinion can be changed so easily and rapidly then it will change again when someone release another film with a different bias.

Kennith wrote: “Before he came into power, he was preaching about democracy and freedom to the then chief minister David Marshall. But eventually he got so obsessed with power and money that he lost control and changed forever. As the saying goes, “Absolute power corrupts absolutely”, and I think he is a fine example of that quote.”

Different society, under different social and economical criteria needs different time of governance. Some people, like Kennith, believe 100% pure democracy will bring panacea to everyone; that’s absolutely wrong. Look like India, look at Philippine. Singapore build its from almost nothing to today’s most prosperous country in SEA and people from all SEA wants to migrate to it. You might see something wrong with this, others might disagree.

And, KLY said what he said because he cares, the way he said it because he is a straight forward man that doesn’t like to beat around the bushes.

He understand progress Singapore had made and the challenges from within and without that Singapore have to face in the future to maintain a prosperous society. KLY said it bluntly that he believes todays Singaporeans, especially the youths, needs to do more to stay keep Singapore on top. Some people might not like this truth but it is the truth.

Countries in East Asia and SEA are developing/learning fast now.

In the end, the only losers will be Singaporeans, if its citizens doesn’t know or take up the challenges.

That’s KLY is afriad AND that’s why he said what he said.

  • CitizenReddot,

Again, as in YP forum, allow henceforth the future to explain on my behalf. Hahahahahahahahaha…
    Hahahahahahahahahaha…

Given the right people the PM has chosen, this is the path, and we must react accordingly to the path taken.

China will always be there… But dynasties have become extinct. Hahahahahahahahahaha…

Singapore, if you definition is the current people, they know not what they are entering into. War… If everyone has enough, why should anyone fight?

But then, since the tragedy of the Second World War, is there ever a degree of enough in the present?

But it is not as how you see it from my rants… But for China, China’s Art Of War is always a best seller across times where many kingdoms were defeated and Sun took out the last of the dynasties making use of Yuen.

CitizenReddot, don’t you still get it?

China, Singapore… It’s still with the mankind. Look at Obama. Is he not telling you a glaring story? Hahahahahahahaha…

China… The magnitude of the problem once you let it run will be beyond the central’s control. And there is no such limits as to the greed and beautiful women to be fucked to restrain the lure of corruptions. Skies are the limits, and hell is where idiotic governance shall head for. As the corruption hits new heights now… Given the need to fill the so many hunger for money within the factions, how could they churn out more money?

The last blood of the people… and foreign assisted revolution will be on the card. By then, laws and authority of the central government will be useless against hunger and sufferings across vast areas of many huge groups of people.

China’s economic policy-making and governance shocks me. Years back, if the central government had been smarter, do you think Elfred would even get to return to Singapore? Hahahahahahahahahahaha… I’d be already there to ensure a proper growth and strict governance structure…

Regretably speaking… I can still ‘contribute’ significantly to China’s governance now… saved that the premier is no longer strong enough to contain situation.

Frankly speaking, natural disasters are coming… again. GOD always have it coming. Once enough people starve, and have enough… Given USA’s deficits, these blackholes will collapse upon themselves. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha…

And they will drag Singapore into it.

Do you really think that the casinos will aid domestic political stability? Well… Just wait for the tycoons to see their sons and in-laws making waves at the casinos… seeing those wealth vanishing suddenly. Now the casinos are just next door. Any tycoons who advocate the casinos once have enough of casualties of their own will want them shut down.

I know the power of gambling all too well… … No matter how restrained you are, what about your in-laws, your children or your grandchildren… …? Hahahahahahahahaha…

    Hahahahahahahahahaha…

The damage will be enough to rock… the world.

If Obama has no more ways to borrow for an even larger deficits… what about those European banks now hanging themselves almost dead? Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha…

And how can global trading be ‘reliable’ on LCs and such based on such ridiculous credit situation? See?

How great do you want it to be? Hahahahahahahaha…

And what can Singapore do with its reserves and currencies? Increase the supply? Restrict the supply? But don’t forget… Wealth effect in Singapore has been artificially pumped too high.

China is not the only fool who has thought it can do well without Elfredian involvement. Look at Japan… One small car problem, and the figure dives. It shows the sensitivity and the weakness of Japan’s recent celebration over their economy.

Without talents… All the best to those states.

And then, it’d be our time. Time for us to clean up the mess. People will have to choose out of their own interests… To join me and escalate themselves to new height, or to throw themselves and their wealth… into a mess. The option is actually very simple.

With me, you can become another New Father of Singapore. Without me, you’d head into chaos. Choose. Hahahahahahaha…

Anyway, there is still plenty of time. For now, just sit back and relax. There is no need for you or others to know too much of what you can’t handle.

Come July, Singapore should be expecting a major scandal… I am monitoring. Hehehehehe~

Hehehehehehehehe~ Come, join me, and watch the show.

  • CitizenReddot,

On PAP’s side, it’s the PM’s problem. He chose this path for himself, I know he was online reading, so… Only he has the power to direct the government into whichever direction. After all, with MM around, Jayakumar and Tony Tan and tons of others will rally around him.

If he cannot do it, the next PM without MM will be sitting ducks to those casualties; people will vote him or her out, and that’s the end of PAP and a new page for Singapore’s history.

For the oppositions, they will have to wait for the PAP to surrender powers, to discard talents and eventually invite them to form a viable gahmen to consolidate power. The current oppositions are… Aiyah~ No eyes to see…

    For us…

For me, I have already made it clear. The conditions to involve my expertise in governance at such time for PAP is basically 1. The MM must pay his visit and convince me that this party he has started is not prepared to be expended; 2. The Education Ministry must be mine as a channel to enter politics. Otherwise, since Singapore is heading for deep shits… As a state doctor, I’d make an offer of service with discount at around $4m for a 2 years dealing. Any states needing help can come to my blog providing their case for consideration.

Whether they take it or not, is NOT my problem. They will have to choose. Coming to the state doctor at the eleventh hour, at the point that things become obvious… is mission impossible. I don’t deal with impossible situations.

As for you. Just sit back and wait out. Trust me. There are more issues than Falun Gung and those Tibetian armed militants in China… Hahahahahahahahaha… If you can’t handle foreign issues, concentrate on domestic affairs. When I become a minister, you can bet those big states to be coming to Singapore for free advise.

Who the fuck wanna be disposed off?

Alot of things have to wait… Regretably so. I also want to help those Singaporeans. I also want to help Badawir to remain in control. I also wanna avert the disaster in Obama’s regime (I have suggested to MM that if Obama falls… … Frankly speaking, just too bad for Obama).

    But what can I do?

The people have to choose. The PM has to choose his leaders as in the other election. Obama has to choose for himself, to save his Euors 1b fee or not. Badawir will have to choose to survive from day 1.

Situation has not come for an option for us to do anything. GOD wants us to wait. So we wait. I was watching patiently for the whole screw-ups for more than 5 years.

More than 5 years… Do you know how much my mouth is worth?

This gahmen wishes to make such huge multi-billion losses, and save its $1000+ teaching salary… What can we do? If not to be the New Father of Singapore… I might not even bother to wait and see if the next PM is a donkey or is a hope.

Obama wanna withdraw troops AGAIN. And he said he needs to talk to Russia… Hahahahahahaha… This world is going to be a very very interesting place.

Join me later after this show, and we’d all be New Fathers of Singapore. I am sad for those struggling to make ends meet… But precisely because of them, we who can really make things work must be very careful. Moving out now is… mostly a waste of time. Even if MM comes miraculously to invite… Given the thick layers… I’d be surprised if I can do my job.

Though entering politics earlier has an advantage. If we can establish earlier, by the time MM departs… chance of making it increases.

Consider all issues… We wait. You also must wait. The car must crush. That’s the path the PM has chosen, we must let him finish this path on his own accord. Don’t attack any sides, and pray for MM to remain since… we want the mess, we need it to be contained. After all, watching all these mess grow is better with stability. Boring life, hence wait, is way better than being in a chaos…

    Hahahahahahahahahaha…

Soon, actually in about a decade or more, USA is going to have an energy crunch… Know the world beyond and before, and alot of things can be done… if you have the calibre.

To let you know… I was actually thinking of Singapore making huge profits from the tier-3 assets crisis… Hahahahahahaha… Well… Singapore chose. I respect its choice.

Nothing mind boggling, CitizenReddot. At least with the New Father of Singapore around, the future is not uncertain. Isn’t it? Hahahahahahahahahahaha…
    Hahahahahaha…

But to see things as the New Father of Singapore, ie without the confusion and such… Well…

Do you know how huge the bubble is in Hong Kong, and the financing of the now put-away funds China has got for the people? Hahahahahahaha… That’s mind boggling. It’s just pure excitment.

If I keep my mouth shut… States will crush. The power of a thinker. A real thinker, ie. Some contract are still dripping from Brazil and those mediterrans but… Hahahahahahahahaha…

    Hahahahahahahahahaha…

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha…

Just watch the show. We can only do what we can do. The fun part of domestic affairs is that the sharks are not moving out yet. MM will not get to see the exciting Mamouth hunt.

We are lucky. We get to witness such historical events… Such as a clueless Eunice can even exist in parliament. Hahahahahahahahaha… How can the people not struggle to make ends meet? They are paying clueless people to handle their lives, to fix undertable… economically speaking, if a boss prefers unproductive elements to brew troubles for his company, then you can expect all the Reds.

It’s that the way to hire people? Hiring loyal people so that they help you to lay waste to your regime, then they become loyal to the new regime… It happened all the times across history.

  • I don’t believe in Prophencies…
    I only believe in reasonings.

Prophecies need no explainations nor thinking.

When Bush began his presidency days, it is not prophecy I told people ‘Iraq is finished…’. Bush is an aristocratic chap, a naive and yet… highly ambitious ‘kid’ who has little concern towards moral given his smooth life. Iraq to him was simply must-die enemy, and USA a weapon.

Once you know a person, you can gauge the outcome.

Obama… This guy doesn’t know finance. He is a great speaker, he knows what bother Americans, he knows to lend strength from influencial members of the senate. But if you observe carefully his speech…

Naive. He wanted this, he wanted that… but he doesn’t even understand the order of wanting which, and the possibilities of what each want is, and the risks. A person like himself wanna be the best black president making history, he wants to be respected but… the big problem is, he can’t do anything. He can’t even properly assign personnels. Hence his big ambition with good intents… goes nowhere.

He now wants to cut jobless rate… Hahahahahahahahaha… What if, I say IF, during the deficits driven jobless-cutting measures, the global financial system is under attack?

And now, he gave up the competition in NASA programs.

Hmmm… … What prophecy do you expect from Elfred? Hahahahahahahahahaha… Use your brain, and alot of things will become like those germs under a microscope.

China’s Wen also doesn’t understand state economics. The puzzle is, he also doesn’t understand the need to get real help.

I am a thinker, not a prophet. Which is why I retired from YP before YP makes too much news for itself, and disappeared for a while so that Ser Luck and the police he has brought in can have their time.

    Notrademic… How interesting. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha…

Nevertheless after ISD had gather enough information the school in which Kenneth is in will see changes in the management. Perhaps the present P will be posted away and a new P carefully selected by ISD with MOE will replace the present P. Then things will be tough for Kenneth. He will most probably forced to leave the school and go to a private school instead. Again the use of money is their weapon. If you got no money you will be the losing end. I applaud Kenneth for his ‘courage’ and indeed, Singapore has to change. But this change everyone’s talking about should not be pointing fingers at each other as it would only lead to more problems. “What change are you talking about that will only make us better” is the question we should ponder. That goes the same for the ruling party – no matter who becomes in the future.

We are not dealing with any issue at all. It would only make us look unintelligent and ignorant when we and our next generation looks back next time.

I would encourage every Singaporean to be constructive, not disruptive. Instead of shooting at others fault, look at what needs to be done and how we can improve. Singapore in some aspects, is certainly controlled and this needs to be changed.

    It is possible.

Look at Taiwan, they used to be authoritarian, people get silenced the next day as seen in the famous 228 incident. Today, people are free to voice about everything and meanwhile, burn dummies of president. I think we wouldn’t want that to happen either. It only makes us seem violent, immature and repulsive.

Whichever party takes over Singapore, remember, we must be sensible and vow not to fight each other. History has taught us too many lessons from other countries we must not never learn.

Right now, I believe in a balanced society. It should be in the legislation – Singapore at any point of time, will have two ruling parties with equal percentage of votes. This is unlike the UK or similar parliamentary systems . The topic for example, “every Singaporean male should undertake National Service for a year.” The ruling party and opposition parties each hold 50% of decision making. It will entirely up to every single one of them to choose whatever they want. That goes for the same for the people who supports their own party. For instance, someone of Party A supports the idea brought up by Party B. That person of Party A is able to vote for B’s idea with absolutely no restrictions or obligations. This is what I called free and unbiased voting system.

The golden rule – The ruling party should listen and the opposition should be allowed to offer will Singapore become a fairer place to live.

You raised an interesting question. It prompts me to read through the posts of “protest”. The inference I got is that “protest” is NOT Kenneth Lin or unlikely to be so.

    My reasons are -

    a) the writing styles are different between them

    b) “protest” key message objective is consistently “Change” while Kenneth Lin is upset looking for a apology – NOT CHANGE,

    c) if “protests” is Kenneth Lin, he is more likely to speak in the same logic instead of a support advocacy role his posts seem to indicate.

    d) given the maturity of kids these days of rigorous learning, it is NOT by any means out of reasonable bounds of possibility a 15-year old could have this political orientation even if he/she is not thoroughly informed of global affairs. Just imagine it must be unthinkable for older generation to believe school girls under 12 are having sex with school boys – unthinkable of any parent, educators and society just 5 years ago. Kids now mature faster than they age. And don’t forget General Paper in Pre-University classes include politics topics as well some 30 years ago!!!.

But you can have contrary opinion to all these.

Replying to………. CitizenReddot And also Kenneth is a misguided 15yo poor thing,

Of course i am for sure i am not Kenneth Lin. The reason I post is just a reminder to all Singaporeans who keep on feeling frustrating and helpless in situations that they couldn’t help it at all.

Since there is someone out there who is willing to start the ball rolling, and having after 50years under an oppressive environment we are living, won’t u ppl want to foresee something and give it a go????

Or is it all of you are just here to whine and frustrates , that’s all.

I state my point, only those folks who truly want to see a Change, go to his petition article and support. As for those who just want to continue to frustrate your emotions , it’s your choice.. No one is forcing anyone to sign as i say it is fro those who truly want to see a kick start Change in singapore if we really love our country and fellow men who are suffering right now….

Btw, after making this calling, already till to date is 247 signatures liao. Effective right? At first the signatures stuck at 223, but after making that call one more time, the signatures start to pour in again.

Thanks for supporting this 15yr old boy Kenneth Lin. Though i don’t know him personally and have never seen his face personally but i believe he is sincere and he really love his own country and proud to be Singaporeans and he really want to see there is change coming…

So do those who truly want to see Singapore have a new change. There is always hope…Don’t give up…

To reach democracy , always a very long and rough path to go thru it wan lah….just hang on, push a bit, kick up the agenda, some change will surely comes in.

It’s time folks. Vote for Change! Yes we can!

Btw, last but not least, kenneth lin dont need beggars to help , he needs givers to lend the support.

    Aiyah,

never mind lah. I am one of the people’s power also mah. If someone as young as 15 yr old is stepping forward to speak on behalf for so many ppl here where so many ppl may not have the courage to even do it, so since someone present himelf, so give him the chance and opportunity to perform.

Who knows he may the one who is the ‘Saviour’ of singapore??? Never bet, never know the outcome lah…

So VOTE FOR CHANGE! VOTE FOR CHANGE!

    @CitizenReddot on 8:07pm,

Well, some folks may think that what is the big hoo-ha here to keep on shouting for signatures to be signed…

Give me a chance to explain. I definitely not Kenneth Lin which anonoymous has spot it correctly and given it the reply to citizenreddot.

My main thought is, if there is someone out there, who cares whether is 15yr old or 80yr old, as long as he got that courage and boldness to step forward and speak on behalf for so many singaporeans which a lot of singaporeans may not have the guts to take this challenge, so why not give this boy a chance to prove his stand and stance and performance??? And who knows he may be the ‘SAVIOUR’ for singaporeans??? U never make the last bet, never know the outcome!! And i definitely welcome and support this call! Why not!

So folks, no matter what , i will still continue to make this call, currently the signatures is running…… For those who truly want to see Change in our country, kindly go and sign, for those who just wanna to vent their frustrations here and watch the show, you may continue…

VOTE FOR CHANGE! YES WE CAN!

Note : BTW, FOLKS THINK CAREFULLY , THOSE 247 SIGNATURES, DO U TINK THEY ARE DAFT TO SIGN SINCE YOU HAVE TO INCLUDE YOUR REAL I/C NO??? ANSWERS : BECOS THEY LOVE SINGAPORE!

Don’t worry LKY is old now and he’ll die anytime soon. I remembered he once said, “Building casinos in Singapore? Over my dead body”. So guys don’t worry he’ll die pretty soon after cursing himself. He is PAP’s dragon head, once the head is being cut off the body will disintegrate. Let’s wait things will change after he dies. I’m not cursing him, so please do not misinterpret me. I used to respect him very much as my Nation’s father. Now? No more cos he is disgusting the way he treats the fellow countrymen. History really teaches us, absolute power corrupts and LKY, who used to have so much passion for nation building is no longer now. Self interest, pride and power seem to have dominated his vision.

Greetings ! Just a reminder, Monsieur Voltaire was not only a Philosopher of de Enlightenment Era of John Locke and Jean Jacque Russeau ,he was the one that characteristically made that Clarion Call to the Democratic Process about defending to the death your right to say whatever, yet Voltaire to this day and age is a very human romantique figure,he wrote to his lover directly to the point ” I love you with my prick and heart I love to kiss your arse ! “Here’s humanity seeking consentual sex like free love without blemishes ! @Kenneth is a misguided 15yo poor thing

That was a damn wise observation and good point.

During the Cultural Revolution of 1964/5 in China, Mao Tze Tung proclaimed to “let a thousand flowers bloom”, inviting all thinkers and the literati to rise up and contribute with their political thoughts and views. And guess what? It was followed immediately by the great purge. All who responded innocently were purged, either thrown into prison on trumped up charges, or executed. Deng Xiao Peng was among the unlucky ones who ended in the lock-up (but as everyone know by now, he was the real great leader of China and not his predecessor who was instrumental for setting the path for its economic development, which has leap-froged since).

Beware the pits as you traverse in snake infested lands. Show your support but never give your personal details.
