Jack Neo to consider relocating to China or Taiwan to continue his career

According to insider information, Jack Neo and his family are considering relocating to China or Taiwan as a last resort to prepare for the worst possible outcome from the fallout of the sex scandals he was embroiled in, Lianhe Wanbao reported yesterday.
Since the saga erupted last week when a mistress of Jack Wendy Chong alerted the press of their adulterous relationship, Jack has been dropped by Mitsubishi Starmex air-conditioner as its spokesman and his latest production “Being Human” was reportedly faring badly at the box-office.
Following a disastrous press conference and continued flaming by the local media and netizens alike at his insincerity, it appears that the public image and standing of Jack Neo has been damaged irreversibly beyond repair.
If Jack is unable to produce movies locally, then he may have no choice but to continue his career in China and Taiwan where the people are more forgiving of such moral transgressions.

Yeap, he sure can go Taiwan cos he served his National Service there. By the way, did he served his NS in Singapore? Is he actually a borned Singaporean or one who became a Singaporean? Is this going to be an example on how a foreign born Singaporean have the opportunity to run to another country when there is trouble? Is this an example of how they reap from Singaporeans in good times and do a runner to their ‘home’ country in bad time. Pappies please take note since you are rallying behind people like these when you sell out the Singaporeans.
By the way, JN is only talented in Singapore but when he goes the other two countries, he will be an ‘Ikan Billis’. He still has to paddle his wares in Singapore using the tax payers money with the backing of the pappies. Do you really think that he can compete while he is there? Maybe those Chinese ladies there are more willing to do anything to be famous by keeping their mouth shuts.
By the way, there are no victims here as many of the characters are willing participants. Everyone get something out of it and they have gone into this by choice. You can have my best wishes and prayers for your ventures in China and/or Taiwan. It cerainly is a great idea which I have been thinking that this would be what you will do after you have taken your well-earned rest with your dear wife. Do your best and keep our Singapore flag flying high, knowing that you have many great friends in Singapore!
I am so sad that Singaporeans by and large are very unforgiving and very self-righteous.
I worry for Ms Wendy Chong also, as her dear mother said she was contemplating suicide. Let us not forget to pray for her—–for her spiritual strength to recover from her despondency. Pray that she will not be so guilt-sticken and so self-condemned that she goes on to commit suicide. After all, she has also admitted to her mistakes.

It is very sad to see a talented person got ruined and can’t even stay in a place he was borned and has worked hard in by moments of folly.
I am quite puzzled why many people are so judgemental of him when I don’t think he has inflicted any hurt to them.
The people he has hurt are his wife, his children and perhaps Wendy and the few people he has supposedly ‘victimized’. If these people can forgive him that is good enough.
Do people support his movies because they are entertaining and he is a talented director or merely because they thought he was a righteous man ? I am sure many of us have heard of how ‘complex’ the entertaining scene is. It would be very naive to think the people in that scene are all righteous people in the first place. By the way, how many people on earth are righteous ? I have seen bosses involved with sweet young things and giving them promotion faster than the rest. Each has their side of the bargain. There will always be lecherous men and ambitious young women who are willing to trade their youth for materialize gains. Whose fault is it ? To say the lecherous men is the one at fault is not entirely right. Supply and demand must meet. So why made Jack seemed like the biggest devil on earth ?

In Neo’s case, we sense a polarisation of views. Some say he should suffer the consequences, others want him forgiven and yet others say the media has blown it out of proportion.
The contrasting feelings of angst and sympathy towards the man suggest that the central issue appears to be his infidelity.
Is it?? We feel for his wife and childre who must suffer thru this episode. Yet, infidelity, while publicly taboo, is no uncommon in society.
And if it is common, why the big fuss?? Is it because it involves a celebrity? If that were so, similiar celebrities like American talk show comdedian David Letterman and a host of soccer stars would have faced an outburst of public indignation, which was not the case.
Must of the commotion revolving around NEO’S INFIDELITY IS NOT BECAUSE OF HIS CELEBRITY STATUS. Rather, the PUBLIC INDIGNATION IS PROMPTED BY HIS HYPOCRISY.
He propagates sound family values thru his movies and, hence indirectly advocates them.
It is fair to say that the man in the street identifies him with the family values he portrays so truly and vividly in his films.

I agree with StopthejudgementonSun that JN is not the biggest devil on earth. He shd be left alone. However,the very fact that his wife is aware of his behaviour and kept quiet and let him continue to do what he is doing.. how many more victims who keep quiet will continue to be victimized…? i am amazed his wife did not stop him when she knew of the affair one year ago.. it made me question whether she’s aware of all his doings and choose to keep quiet for WHATEVER reasons. A movie director whom was thought to be a kind person and a family man. However, his past deeds was exposed and people were surprised that he was unfaithful to his wife. Out of all people, a Foreign Minister from a self righteous party asked people to support the director and rally around him.

Many Mediacorps actors such as Chen Su Chen, Wang Yi Qing,Edmund Chen are PAP grassroot members. That’s the reason why they are still appearing in dramas.
Chen Su Chen and some leading popular actors during the 80s used to have many “similar” stories but was never exposed (maybe those ladies were more forgiving).
PAP must be very desperate in trying to use these celebs to garner votes for them (as it is common practice in Taiwan).
As for Jerk Neo going to Taiwan with his brand of movies, he knows the outcome already. Because he tried penetrating into Taiwan film market with his second movie “That One No Enough”(after his Money No Enough “success”);funded by Cathay Organisation and armed with a full team of reporters YET the said film only sold “47 tickets” in total! (This is revealed by insider sources that’s why Jerk Neo and Cathay never talked about it since).
Jerk Neo’s crass and crude Hokkien “Getai” standard fare movies pale in contrast to local Taiwan films. He knows it .
China is too sophisticated a culture for him.With his philandering ways,he is likely to end up in jail.

Jack Neo can forget about China. Mainland chinese culturally are too different from us. I visit Shanghai every year, they refused to speak Mandarin, encourage me to speak their dialect since I am treated one of their own. As I travel around Jiangsu, they speak the same dialect again. Trust me, they will not like your type of movies or drama too aliens to them. They are like American, you learn to fit in. Shanghai will only watch Shanghai drama, don’t believe ask them about Beijing? Beijing girls look ugly, very polluted, red dust…
As for taiwan, they may like it? In States, my Taiwanese freinds find our Under One Roof very boring, they just don’t like English drama and our culture is boring. Infact most Taiwanese can speak fluent Japanese, they follow all things japanese like Leng Teng Hui. They know baseball, nothing about soccer. Again you had to fit in

Dear Pastors Kong Hee and Tan Ye Peng, and FM George Yeo:
A SERIOUS BREAKDOWN IN COMMUNICATION
I am sad to be watching from the sideline a serious breakdown in communication in the Jack Neo scandal. Now Ms Foyce Le wants to file a police report against Jack Neo. I am wondering whether my unsolicited attempt to input through my 13/3/10 open email to the protagonists have reached them (people like Mr Jack Neo and Foyce). I am not saying that if it had, there would be no deterioration of the whole matter. But if it didn’t reach them yet, could you people make an attempt to do so as soon as possible? And add your comments of what I said and suggested—-pros an/or cons.
In this way, the parties embroiled in the matter could hopefully have the chance to get some helpful inputs from concerned bystanders and be reminded that they must not forget the big picture—-what God’s will is in the whole matter, and what is the big picture for Singapore too. I feel Mr Jack Neo should take the lead, with Ms Joyce magnanimously following suit. Thereafter, we can bide our time for the opportunities to help Ms Wendy Chong in her healing and deliverance from anger, hurt, self-guilt and self-condemnation.
In due time, after we have helped Jack to recover, I hope to make my suggestions as to how we could help Wendy regains her self-confidence and moral worth. We must succeed to help everyone comes out of this sordid mess as winners. As for Mr Jack Neo, he has no need to worry much so longer as God and his dear wife have forgiven him.
So there should be no more slips of his tongue which are inadvertently causing hurt to others to keep the matter roiling, as Foyce had apologised to Jack and for what she did to come out to help Wendy Chong (so long as what Wendy said were truthful). After all, Jack had already said that he was to be entirely blamed and not anyone else. That is to say, Jack will have the spiritual strength to recover with all the help from the pastors, his friends and sympathetic members of the public like me.
But what about Wendy Chong? I doubt she will have the spiritual strength to endure all these and confidently emerge a wiser and confident woman if we are not going to try helping her to do so. I hope she would not do anything rash.
My best prayers are for all parties in this very sad, complicated and tragic saga. May the will of God prevail in the hearts of the key persons involved!
