Foyce Le Xuan on Facebook: I will stop commenting on Jack Neo’s scandal

Amid pledges of support from Singaporeans on her Facebook, artiste Foyce Le Xuan announced that she will put a “closure” to the Jack Neo saga and stopped commenting on it.
Foyce was embroiled in a tit-for-tat exchange with disgraced movie director Jack Neo in the media over his alleged sexual harrassment of her six years ago.
Jack Neo was rocked by a series a sex scandals lately when his affair with a 22 year old model Wendy Chong was leaked to the press last week.
Subsequently, Foyce revealed that he had sent “indecent” SMSes to her when she was with his entertainment group including a proposal to share “private” moments together in a hotel room.
Jack denied the allegations and counter-accused Foyce of lying prompting Foyce to lodge a police report against him yesterday at the Tampines Neighborhood Police Post.
Channel News Asia reported that Foyce had filed a report with them against Jack Neo and the authorities said they are investigating the matter.
In her latest posting on Facebook, Foyce wrote:
The Jack Neo scandal has raised the national profile of Foyce considerably.
Though she has won much public sympathy by coming forward with her story, others accused her of leveraging on Jack Neo to gain cheap publicity.
There were no immediate comments from Jack Neo who had declined to comment further on the matter.

It is disappointing to note that Foyce is playing mind games, and appears to sway with the winds of public sentiment. How can she refuse further comment when her credibility is at stake and the matter remains unresolved?
Either she is telling the truth and needs to be vindicated, or she has fudged certain details and now fears being caught with the hand in the cookie jar.

GOOD THAT MEDIA IS TAKING NOTE OF MY APPEAL TO STOP OR SCALE DOWN THEIR REPORTING ON JACK NEO—by Ph Tham Eng
Ya, dude! Because of people like me appealing to them to stop or scale down their sleazy reporting. Jack Neo has repeatedly apologised, and sincerely telling us he is changing for the better. So let us leave him and his family in peace to recover and make good his promises. Better still, pray for him to become a better man.
If God and his wife have forgiven him, who are we not to forgive him? after all, We are not the one getting hurt.
So I feel that we should all re-direct our attention and concern for Wendy Chong. Unlike Jack, she doesn’t seemed to have the spiritual strength to cope. Let’s pray for her that the right person could reach out to her to encourage and help her regain her self-confidence and hope in life. I feel we must not allow Wendy to suffer too much and then going insane one day; or so despondent that she foolishly thinks that committing suicide is the ONLY way out for her.
Surely we do not want other people in the world to think that Singaporeans are like that?—-so cruel and detestable; so unforgiving and so small-minded; and so bloody self-righteous!
What if one day we are the ones tripping and falling for our mistakes, be it adultery or otherwise? Surely we will need forgiveness and help to recover our moral self-worth, our self-confidence and our hope in life too, right?
In short, we too need our second or third chances should we fall one day!

Yes, this is correct. In any criminal matter, the Police (as directed by AG) is the prosecution party, the complainant is the “witness” at law in evidence. Until and if that happens, it is probably wise of Foyce to refrain from further comment and same for JN as the “contesting” party.
When any alleged offence of a sexual nature is the subject-matter of proceeding, it is very tough for both the accused and the complainant. The accused will be challenged of accusation that is “easy to make but difficult to disprove” while the complainant sexual life history will be paraded of intense cross-examination in fairness to the accused. In cases where rape is alleged, the victim’s most hurtful anguish is having to go through “re-living” the rape episode in details.
This can be a very traumatic experience which uninvolved parties may not comprehend.

What is the PAP’s position on George Yeo & Lim Biow Chuan’s reaction to the Jack Neo escapade?
Yeo & Lim did not clarify to the press that their comments on the JN Incident were personal comments made in their private capacities. As such, the public perceives their comments as establishment announcements. One is, after all, a seasoned Minister – the other an MP in the GRC headed by SM Goh. Even if they were mean’t to be private thoughts, they were clearly voiced publicly to the press – in form, in substance, indeed!And being Ministe/MP, their comments are news worthy. They know it. The press knows it . The public knows that they know. To the extent that their comments led the general public to question the standard of their morals reflect on their public office. It may not be Yeo/Lim’s intention but the perception is such – and Yeo/Lim/PAP had not come out swiftly & effectively to clear the air.
If Yeo/Lim’s intention is to say “Give Peace A Chance” & “Move On”, then specifically say so – with a clear, resounding condemnation of all forms of infidelity, adultery, carnal lusting for gullible, impressionable, young girls. Granted, in a civl society, a domestic crisis does not warrant passing judgement – especially when not all the facts are known. Irene knew but condoned the adulterous relationship for about 1 year.
Jack initiated repeated advances targetting young, impressionalble girls. These girls did not initiate advances to get favours from Jack. But surely, the least we expect from our Minister/MP concerned, is their outright & absolute condemnation of the adulterous & sinful acts. That is, condemn the wrong doings even if they are reluctant to condemn the wrong doer. The integrity, character & dignity of those elected into office (including those awarded a walk-over in uncontested consituents/GRC in the General Elections) must be proudly & openly displayed. We have the right to expect the Minister/MP to d right by us.ie Stand up for what is right & shoot down what is wrong – without fear, favour or hesitation. The JN episode is an eye-opener. What attitudes & values do Singaporeans of various ages, gender, office have? JN has publicly confessed his adulterous ways. He, significantly, did not refute other allegations brought against him by very young girls whom he blatantly preyed on while abusing his position of authority. Does he deserve to retain awards & titles bestowed on him? By being allowed to hang on to his awards/titles is to dishonour, desecrate, debase, sullen and shame the very award/title he is not asked to relinquish. And to fellow award/title holders, past, present and future, wouldn’t JN being allowed to retain these same award/title discredit, tarnish & cheapen such awards/titles? Is it fair to other recipients – those who have upheld lofty standards of character & worth to have the previlege of EARNING such awards/titles? Is it, then, not ridiculous & out of character, for PAP Minister/MP to comment on JN episode the way they did – INSTEAD OF REVIEWING whether the proper authorities should confiscate such awards/titles granted to JN?

I dont knw if the allegation is fact or make up, only Foyce and Jack and GOD knws. I feel that Foyce should not make issue bigger by “exposing” at this point of time. Already its tough for his wife and children, why make it worst? He is facing his consequences now but his family who is innocent have to shared his embrassement too. Jack chose to apologise to us the public, his wife and full stop what about his victims. In fact he poured oil on himself by challenging his victims to stand up with evidence against him (This jack no stupid remember to suck hair and semen from his vehicle after car sex so must feel confident that evidence is destroyed)
Which is precisely why people like me are commenting about his insincerity and seemed more interested at protecting his business rather than his family.

Kite (17/March 3.25pm) – Foyce is entitled to say her piece. Jack Neo is entited to challenge her statements. Why doesn’t JN exercise his right of reply? Kite, what FACTS do you have to insinuate Foyce is “playing to the media”? JN dare not contradict her – otherwise, he will take legal action to make her retract her statements & sue her for damaging his reputation… further!

One can only conclude: If Foyce is lying, why doesnt JN expose her lies? If Foyce’s version is not corrected by JN, we can only assume that Foyce is right or that JN is afraid other victims will come out of the woodwork should the matter go before a court of law.

If “A” concerns himself or herselfs, provokes,interferes,or otherwise provide attention to party “B” and “B” either does NOT respond or adds to encouraging such attention or in some manner indicated refused such uninvited attention, any other acts or conduct emanating from “A” in seeking the attention or irritation to “B” is, in law, constituting harassment. And if it is an import of suggestive intimate interests in the opposite gender – it is sexual harassment.
For example, if “A” ( subsequent to rebuff from “B”) sent a follow-up SMS to “B” like this – “If you got the time, I have got the inclination!!!”
This is especially so, if A is employer or superior of B in any employer-employee type relationship because the law is cognizant and mindful that A is infinitely more powerful of influence and pressure on B. That would make “A” position untenable of proving “B” allegation making it even harder to disprove of sexual harassment.

Jack is to be blamed. If not for Foyce, there will many who will just blame Wendy for the affair. So, let me come straight to the point. What grounds do you have to think that Foyce’s Police Report should not be filed? Pray, do tell – the Police would want to know too!

RALLYING FOR THE BIG PICTURE
May God bless all of you!
Many people like some netizens in TR had been asking what had happened to our local media? Why their sudden self-imposed blackout on Jack’s saga? (See Attachments 1 & 2). So I have to write to you people to thank all of you for taking note of appeals from people like me to stop your harassment of Jack Neo, and to scale down your sleazy and derisive reporting. We already had enjoyed a surfeit of it, and like every good thing, it should come to an end too—-as soon as possible.
Jack had repeatedly apologised and had suffered enough. His wife had suffered a lot with him. So we need to give Jack and his family the space, the peace and chance to pick up their lives and make good his promise to Singaporeans to behave well in future—-that he had turned over a new leaf and had really learned a very good lesson from the shameful sex scandals he engendered. Now, when people are so apologetic and remorseful for their mistakes and faults, I personally do not have the heart to kick them anymore. It makes more sense to help them get up and be reformed. I believe the best stance to take is, “Love the sinners, and hate the sin (especially those inside ourselves).” And one day, should we trip and fall, we would like others to accept our sincere apologies and recognise our remorse too.
As regarding Jack’s chaotic press conference on 11/3/10, I feel that he was sincere in wanting to call it to apologise. I believe his wife had personally wanted to come out to help him apologise too. I do not think that Jack was manipulating her into doing so with him. That was also why they had catered a lot of nice food and drinks that day for the media people.
Unfortunately, he was overcome with emotion, which in turn affected his poor wife who had confessed that she wasn’t media-savvy. And what followed was simply mayhem—-his wife wailing; then buckling and fainting on stage, with the media people justifiably fuming and complaining that they were cheated by a hypocritical and a manipulative Jack Neo of their precious time and efforts rushing to attend his silly press conference. If I was a journalist, I would feel very angry with Jack too. Well, this is what will often happen when there was no rehearsals—Murphy will attack. LOL!
But since Jack had repeatedly apologised, and promising us in as many times that he would change for the better; and since the press had already been enjoying their field day happily churning out their salacious reports, I had felt it was time for the media to scale down or stop their trashy reporting, unless there was something new and meaningful to write on. Otherwise, we would turn ourselves into a sorry spectacle for people in other countries to comment on us negatively—-that Singapore is a nation of sadistic, egotistical, mean, small-minded, ungracious, unforgiving, voyeurish and bloody self-righteous people.
So I was rather pleased that even people like Features Editor Ms Phin Wong had written in their 13/3/10 edition of Weekend Today her very well-written article to dole out her sensible and helpful advice of what Jack should be doing henceforth. I also enjoyed articles written by journalists like ST Mr Yap Kim Hoh (in his well-written piece on page 31 of the Sunday Times 14/3/10 entitled “Jack fell down and broke his crown.”) So I do not have any grouse whatsoever with our English-medium journalists covering Jack’s saga. It was also nice of you people to keep away from the suicidal Ms Wendy Chong, who is still in hiding.
That poor young lady,Wendy, had suffered enough. So we must watch out for her too. I feel we must never allow her to torture herself for the rest of her life living in seclusion from our open society. I do hope that kind souls like Ms Foyce Le and Jack’s wife “Ah Bu” could cooperate and get others to help and encourage Wendy to overcome her feeling of great shame and her severely damaged self-confidence. I feel she has her rights to live happy and meaningful life and to chase her great dreams. If we/they fail to encourage Wendy; and should Wendy end up in a mental institution, or really go ahead to commit suicide, it would be a severe rebuke of our Singapore society. We will have to live with this very bad conscience for the rest of our lives too.
So I hope our journalists will all do their part to rally for the big picture—-to help develop our Singapore into a very caring, tolerant, forgiving and a very gracious nation. When we succeed, our God-blessed leaders like PM Lee, MM Lee and those in the Opposition camps will be very pleased too.
So “Inspire us Lord, to be thankful to Thee for Thy favours to us and our loved ones to do good deeds which will please Thee. Admit us, through, Thy mercy, to be among Thy righteous. For the noblest in God’s sight is he/she who is the most righteous.” Ameen.

It takes a lot of courage for Foyce to speak up in such a situation esp. when one is embroiled in this industry (unless she has decided to quite this job for good). I certainly wouldn’t seek FREE publicity under such circumstances. It could have a drastic effect and backfire. I felt she has did the right thing by telling the truth and this has certainly added credibility to Wendy case. At least we get to see some of the true colors of Jack Neo. If the other women hasn’t speak up, chances is that Wendy will be solely blamed for being the home wrecker while Neo (with his good image) and his family will be portrayed as the victims.

Her facebook is merely getting sympthy and trying to make her the mature one who can forgive. Who is her advisor and what does the both, Foyce and her advisor want to gain from all this. Take a good look into her eyes and you tell me she can be trusted. Sigh….As far as her acting is concern those who watch it is merely as a no brainer as she would be.
