PAP MP Irene Ng unfazed by criticisms from netizens

PAP MP Irene Ng remains unfazed by the barrage of criticisms she has received from netizens for helping an Indonesian Gusti Agusetiawarman obtained Singapore PR.

A massive furore erupted in cyberspace last week over a comment posted by an Indonesian Gusti Agusetiawarman on the Facebook of PAP MP Irene Ng, thanking her for helping him obtain Singapore PR:

gustiirene

[Source: Vote PAP out Facebook]

It is not revealed how Ms Ng had helped Mr Gusti in his application. From the above comment, it seems that Mr Gusti will be bringing his family over to Singapore. It is not known if he will be buying a HDB resale flat.

In her reply, Ms Ng congratulated Mr Gusti and said she is sure that he will “contribute to Singapore as part of our extended family.”

Her assistance to Mr Gusti led many Singaporeans to wonder if Ms Ng is a MP for Singaporeans or foreigners. There is an increasing number of complaints among Singaporeans that it is difficult for them to even catch a glimpse of their PAP MPs who are often away.

PAP MPs also have the propensity to make frivolous police reports against their own residents. In March this year, PAP MP Lee Yi-Shyan made a police report against a 52 year old relief cabby for reminding him of the Seng Han Thong incident. Another 17 year old mentally challenged teenager was arrested for slamming a door during a meet-the-people session after his PAP MP complained to the police.

In contrast to the shabby treatment received by native Singaporeans from their PAP MPs, some of whom are unelected, Ms Ng is most accommodating towards Mr Gusti and went out of her way to help him obtain Singapore PR:

Ms Ng herself is not a Singaporean by birth. She was born in Penang, Malaysia and was a former journalist with the Straits Times before “handpicked” by the PAP to ”represent” Singaporeans as a MP. Her husband is foreigner as well. As such, it is natural that she will not fight for the interests and rights of native Singaporeans.

With the PAP continuing to mass-import foreigners to replace Singaporeans, we will be seeing more pro-foreigner MPs like Irene Ng around.

She has quite a reputation at Tampinese GRC. Even my 80 year-old mom feels the difference. She will lament that Ex-MP Dr Aline Wong who is from Hong Kong and speaks little Mandarin, will greet them “Zhou San” (Good morning!) whenever she sees them in the morning. Irene Ng who does not speak Mandarin as well, made a public promise to learn to do so when she first “became” the MP of Tampinese GRC. However, she had since resorted to avoiding and ignoring constituents she could not communicate with. She feels awkward with most of the people she is supposed to serve and they see her only as someone “sent” by the Government to officiate in events.

PAP is slowly filling up the cabinet with foreign trashes because it will be easier to make these foreign trashes carry out policies that go against the well-beings of the local people.

These foreign shit MPs will make enough money and leave Singapore like they ditched their countries when they have enough money… which is like more than $15000 per month as a MP.

i think it is unfair to her or anyone to write this statement unless one has some examples or even just one example to support it. maybe there are really some native singaporeans who benefits from her actions whom we never know? we shouldn’t go to such extreme to write something that may backfire us when we don’t have supporting evidence to support what we write or say, if not we aren’t of any different from those in power. :)

I was actually thinking along the same lines, but with a twist. This is it, I will renounce my Singapore I/C, migrate to feaking India or Timbuktu or something, apply to be a Singapore PR and reap better rewards, cause my cost of living will be much lower, my earning power will be much higher, and after milking all for I can, return to India or Timbuktu and retire.

Irene Ng is the typical class of Malaysian Chinese who migrate to Singapore. They are full of condemnations about Malaysia, yet when the time comes they go back to their hometowns. Most importantly they simply care about nobody except themselves and will put on all the act necessary to further their interests. The whole reason why Irene Ng is working so hard for this Indonesian is to build up support for herself. Dont tell me she doesnt have enough Singapore born Singaporeans in her constituency who need her help. The Malaysian Chinese also bring their racial baggage and harbour serious ill feelings towards Malays in Singapore as if they are responsible for their problems back in their home country. They also love turning workplaces into a racially divided space. Its about time Singaporean Chinese start taking fertility issues more seriously and deny the government the opportunity to open doors to China Chinese or Malaysian Chinese.

Apart fron pulling weight as MP, I seriously can’t think of any other means she could assist. If so, is she assisting him, out of personal favor!?

  • The problem here is will the opposition challenge in a singular strategy at Tampines GRC against the incumbents or will they do the same stoopig thing again…which is sending 3 or more different AP parties/teams/candidates to challenge PAP at Tampines GRC….

Imagine this post GE for tampines GRC:

    AP party 1 won 25%
    AP party 2 won 20%
    AP party 3 won 10%
    AP party 4 won 15%
    PAP party won 30%

    So who won? PAP again???

And this is the reason why PAP laugh at how stoopig and ignorant AP/Opposition are…

This is the last chance to be frank for AP/Opposition to make real in-roads…after this GE there won’t be anymore cos majority of the citizens will be “new” citizens.

It is kind of sad to see this.

Because of a few…many has to “suffer”…a people and a country being treat so as a finite resource…it can be so much more…but too bad we have the un-size and the too greedy in charge…

    Sick of this.

Most of the problems that MPs help are actually very easy problems thta can be solved if the civil servants use their brains. It is like the civil servants purposely don’ use their brains so that people go and see their MPs for help. If MPs don’t write letters then there is no need for so many MPs is Singapore! Even in parliament everything already decided. So don’t need to debate in parliament.

When you go and ask MP for help it is not to overturn a law but to ensure that civil servants do their job or because you think you have been unjustly treated. It all boils down to a civil servant not knowing their job well. Has any civil servant been reprimanded for not doing their job well?

NO! Civil servants are encouraged to act like robots and to give you a difficult time and to repeat the rules until their mouths ache so that they can collect bonusses and allow their MP bosses to write letters.

Quite right, Malaysian chinese are grateful to SG GOV for either giving them citizenships or PR so that they can make money here. This people usually prefer to give business to their own kind in Malaysia, do not ever make them HR or middle management, when it come to hiring, they will find all ways and means to give jobs to their own kind, Singaporean no chance as these Malaysians or ex-Malaysians always see Singapore “Haolian” cocky and that way they can punish true blue Singaporeans is not to give them jobs, take jobs away by giving to their own kind. I think many people here will share the same view. Just walk into any company owned or managed by foreigns, especially Malaysians, you will see very few Singaporeans. SAD.

I agree with you. And they are also in government stat boards.

One of a good example is Singapore Polytechnic. One of the disgraced and deceased HOD was a Malaysian and only used his own kind. His remnants are still in Singapore Poly now, in position for many many years. They like to give HELL to local Singaporeans. I have seen those mother fuckers got rid of local Singaporeans by crude office politics.

Sadly, we have a lot of Malaysians holding PR for decades here screwing around. Many of them are terrible lecturers who do not deserve to exist. Local students are laughing at them but then again, the local students are the ones who will really suffer.

Many Malaysians are weirdos after being screwed by their racist government for years. Of course, there are many good ones around. It is not the fault of these Malaysians, but show how screwed up the system is, and how the PAP garment is screwing with the locals.

maybe everyone should just take a step back and notice that irene was merely fulfilling her duties as a MP by writing a letter on behalf of mr gusti’s singaporean wife. both of whom are residing within tampines changkat.

i don’t see why irene has to be fazed by criticisms from netizens when she’s just helping her resident, which is what she was elected to do.

Perhaps this is the right time for potential MP’s to be a Singapore citizens for at least 10 years to run for election. Otherwise, the power to be can convert anyone to become a citizen and put them into an uncontested GRC to enter our parliament.

Irene Ng is a clear cut case. Borned Malaysian not so long ago, PR in Singapore and worked here, make her money and now, helped more foreigners to obtain their PRs…

As much as she would not want to acknowledge she is like that, we are not blind, are we?

During my Masters i learn on SIJORI, i think none of us here was alive during that time. SIJORI comprised of Singapore, Johor and Riau Island. Singapore is indeed an island of immigrants.

  • PAP Sucks:

    Why do Singaporeans even complain?

PAP has called you “dogs”, “third class citizens” and “daft” — and yet you continue to vote for them decade in decade out.

PAP has implemented a massive, silent project to replace native Singapore citizens with new citizens from the current horde of Foreign PRs, so that PAP will continue to be voted in.

And yet, you continue to vote for PAP.

You only have yourselves to blame.

It is all too late to change anything now. Even if you change your mind and decide to vote PAP out in the next general election, I seriously doubt that your single vote can mathematically change the overall outcome.

The swap out of native Singapore citizens with new Singapore citizens from the hordes of Foreign PRs is well underway — there is no way for you to reverse the process.

PAP has won, and will continue to lord over you and your children and your children’s children.

This is the truth. Again, you brought this upon yourselves.

The only hope is to exit Singapore, and migrate to true, first-world, western democracies such as U.S., Canada, and the U.K.

    Good luck.

@Jeffi: I have no problems understanding English – this Angel wants to support the irene, i have no problem. but you must understand the kind of help is unwarranted when many sporeans need help. her reference to australians helping sporeans as an example to justify why irene is right is rubbish logic, because australia’s context (depending on city or state) is different (actually not that different, because there is a huge backlash against immigration, if u follow the news). so, there is a reason why this woman is getting so much crap from netizens.

and no, thanks for your concern, i dont have to go back to school to fight with foreigners. very few of them worldwide can compete with me in the first place.

Each time such a post appeared and there is the usual anti-foreigner rants, really, I am ashamed to be a Singaporean and if anyone said “get out”, boy oh boy, would I gladly do so. I am saving up and leaving this land where I feel like a stranger in a strange land. Singapore Spirit, more like the ghosts of Singapore past. If I need to be feel like a stranger in my own country, might as well pack up and immigrate, I would definitely be a stranger then. But I sure hope the new land I am going to don’t have this anti-foreigner nincompoops that populate this site.

Seriously, more often than not, the majority of you guys talk not through your brain…if there is any but through your…aha, I am not that crude, I was thinking…your heart. I took pride in a Singapore where we are rational rather than crude emotional beings. Look at the wayang now exhibiting between Indonesia and Malaysia and how suddenly the Malaysian netizens are behaving like elder statesmen. Our experience of Malaysians whenever an issue happens with Singapore is mad dog behaviour but with Indonesia, it is diplomacy! I doubt that that the Malaysian netizens’ maturity improve by leaps and bounds, it is who they are they facing that matters. So, for heaven’s sake, be the rational and pragmatic Singaporeans that i WAS once so proud of. Use your brains and think – it is not the foreigner’s fault, it is the harebrained Immigration Policy. If blame need to be apportioned, blame the designer of the whole catastrophe but don’t take the path most convenient. The foreigners are not be blamed.

not all are against foreigners. they are fine if they can contribute…

i have relatives in other countries as well but that does not mean i will sponsor their pr if they wanna come here. ica is to decide, not me and definitely, not the mp.

but for the mp to assist a foreigner to get pr? excuse me. the mp needs us to vote for them, not the pr….

so is this gonna set a precedent that all foreigners will start gg to their mp for help to get their pr approved or even to apply? in the first place, they have no mp to represent them!

then wat is ica for? wayang again.

With the influx of foreigners, the pond is like getting a heavy rain and will be lively.

PRs are good for Singapore. Most of them are high educated.

It’s like only high income and educated Singaporeans can apppy to work in oversea countries such as Australia and USA. Those low or non educated Singaporeans will not be accepted by these developed nations.

when 30 % attained 95 marks – so even the ones who attained 85 to 95 marks cannot make it to their choice of university, JCs, Sec Schs.
It is lack of aptitudes or squeeze out by small quotas ?
