PAP MPs pay tribute to Mrs Lee Kuan Yew
The demise of Madam Kwa Geok Choo, the wife of PAP strongman Lee Kuan Yew has been turned into a day of mourning by the state media as PAP ministers and MPs pay tribute to her.
PAP MP for Marine Parade GRC Fatimah Lateef told Channel News Asia that she is very sad to have lost her:
“I have met (Mrs Lee) on several occasions at social functions. That was some years ago. But unfortunately, I did not know her very well. We’ve always read that she’s been the woman behind MM Lee and she’s always given very active support to MM Lee in his political as well as his professional career.”
Another PAP MP from Jalan Besar GRC Denise Phua praised Mrs Lee as a “woman of substance”:
“I think Mrs lee is a personification of what I thought was not possible in women – to have it all. Not only did she have a great career, but I think she’s a great mother (and), as we all know, (also a) great wife, great mother-in-law and great grandmother.”
Mrs Lee’s death dominated the headlines of Singapore papers today as the PAP-controlled media heaped generous praises for her contributions to Lee’s political career as he wiped out his political opponents one by one and extended PAP’s hegemony over all facets of life in Singapore, thereby transforming the once vibrant Asian democracy into a repressive, totalitarian, neo-fascist state reminiscent of North Korea.
Her wake will be held at Sri Temasek, official residence of the Prime Minister located within the Istana grounds on Monday and Tuesday.
In the meantime, Lee has not yet been discharged from SGH yet after he was admitted on Wednesday for a chest infection. There are no further updates on his latest health status.

MP for Jalan Besar, MS Denise Phua says: ” Not only did she have a great career, but I think she’s a great mother (and), as we all know, (also a) great wife, great mother-in-law and great grandmother.”
She is just apple-polishng. No one heard her talk in public or knows who she really was except that she was the wife of a dictator. I can just say the opposite and no one is the wiser. To Denise Phua, I have this to say, ” If you got nothing to say, just shut up”. There has been speculation that she was the master-mnd behind the evil acts of her husband dictator. But I am just speculating
just like she is. So we might as well shut-up.

What would a person say when his BOSS’s wife dies?
Good words of course. Anyone of them dare say anything bad?
The truth is, Kwa Geok Choo was the empress dowager of Singapore. The women’s charter was one evil she wrote.
The Lee&Lee monopolized the HDB’s legal papers and earned billions over the past 20 years. No matter how much money she made, she still has to die. History will put a truth on her, being the woman who controlled Singapore in the back, and the master mind of legalized corruption.

God bless Her Soul and give peace and comfort to the deceased family
Put things in perspective.
Look at the State Mouthpiece today.they are on overdrive and flooding the people with The deceaseds’ achievements.
one crappy Journalist even refered to her as “First Lady”
And exactly what are those achievements ?
Bringing up her Brood ?
Working to Supplement the Family Income ?
Standing By her husbands side ?
Isnt This is what my Mum / Your mum did for their respective families ?
The aunties manning Newstands ,washing toilets ,clearing Scraps in hawkercentres /the food courts, selling tissue paper are doing the exact same things for their families.
The only difference they were barely eking out a living and staying in shoody two or three room HDB Flats.
Whatever work she did as a lawywer was not for free. The state certainly paid for it.And the Law firm she helmed certainly got paid handsomely for conveyancing work foer every HDB home bought and sold for so many years they were appointed to do so.
so friends dont be caught up by all the spin you see in the papers .

The multitude of Pappy bootlickers and cocksuckers are out in full force, to mouth hypocritical platitudes on the deceased Empress. Their pretence mask the depth of the disgust and loathing by the general public for a dynastic family who plant hordes of cronies in high places. The passing of LKY’s evil twin soul marks the beginning of the end of a long and painful nightmare for sinkies. The PAP must lose power decisively at the next general election, and corrupt officials in high places must be brought to justice.

It is pathetic that the wife of the leader of the PAP is not known by any one in the higher levels of the political party – even on a personal basis.
There are only 82 Members of Parliament, and yet “PAP MP for Marine Parade GRC Fatimah Lateef” had only met her on several occasion at “social functions, and “do not know her well”.
Pro Alien Party MP, Denise Phua could not even be certain of even her position about Mrs Lee except for saying “I think……..”.
Clearly, it shows the distance that Mrs Lee kept herself “aloof” from the PAP politics and maintain her own “private life”.
It is simply stupid that some Singaporeans interviewed by CNA had claimed that Madam Kwa Gek Choo is the “Mother of Singapore”.
Such ignorance is due to the PAP propaganda that allowed Singapore’s History to be deliberately re-written to perpetuate a lie that MM LKY is the “Father of Singapore”.
The PAP propagandist had shamelessly ignore the fact that it was Sir Stamford Raffles that had actually RE-DISCOVERED Singapore, and had created Singapore from the marshes after purchasing the title from the Sultan of Johor in 1819.

Lee Kuan Yew appointed his law firm LEE & LEE of which Mrs. Lee is the senior partner to do the Conveyancing work of HDB flats. Through this contract she earned millions for herself and by extension for LKY. Isn’t this favouritism a form of corruption of the highest degree.?
The now defunct Tat Lee Bank had Lee Thiam Yew (Lee Kuan Yew’s brother)as the director in the 1970’s.. It was reportedly given a banking licence permit with undue haste when it applied for one when other banks at that time were having long delays and difficulties in getting their licences approved . Another favouritism shown by LKY to his family member.
Upon taking over the Govt in Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew had appointed his relatives to important govt posts. Among them was Yong Nyuk Lin, who held various cabinet posts in LKY’s Govt, is the husband of Mrs. Lee Kuan Yew’s sister. Dr. Kwa Soon Bee, brother of Kwa Geok Choo( LKY’s wife) served as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health.
And Of course now he has got his son as the prime minister of Singapore. He claimed that Lee Hsien Loong was chosen based on his merits and talents. In Singapore if anybody dare to say that this is nepotism, will be sued by the LKY’s kangaroo courts.
So Lee Kuan Yew’s rhetoric about Singapore being Corrupt free and practicing meritocracy is sheer hypocrisy.

Wicked and heartless you say? Indeed if you are trying to disassociate LKY and cronies’ deeds over the years, trying to gain absolute power, advantage and wealth at the expense of Singaporeans.
She is DEAD! PERIOD!
It’s all about deeds when one is alive. Once dead, it’s time to take stock. She may have done good deeds, but being the supporting wife of the prominent and powerful leader of Singapore for decades and not influencing but abetting his hubby to do deeds which are more than questionable (A fraction of them being mentioned in TR and alternative media), just leave a bad after-taste.
As the role of a wife, I have the utmost respect for her for standing behind LKY silently but positively. As a mum and grandma, well, I can’t work around the fact about the pesky issue regarding the dead daughter in-law and the albino kid.

It seems according our PAP controlled media and devoting so many pages to her past, they are trying to portray Mrs LKY as a much greater person than say our beloved ex-President Ong Teng Cheong. In comparison, the passing away of Ong Teng Cheong was such a quiet affair.
Seriously, I have not even heard Mrs LKY spoke in person. What has she personally done that would not be expected of her ?
So all the papers are just one side of the story. At best she was a dutiful wife and devoted mother. Whose mother would not count as one ?
We certainly can judge for ourselves whether she is really the ‘GREAT’ person that they say she is. It can be so silly to glory someone who isn’t really that great afterall.

I think when someone passes away, people speak the truth about how the person have indeed live their life. Death is the end for most religions. What gain would one achieve in cursing the dead?
At the end of our lives, would we want to be remembered as someone who tried something, someone who did something or someone who never done anything?
Let’s just remember her in each of our own way. =)

Aiyah. Once die, die lah. The book is closed, not chapter close ok. Just wait for Judgement Day where all the account books will be opened to be judged by the Lord. And on that Judgement Day, every human being will rise up, not only you, old man. Dont worry, when every single person die, their respective files are closed, but only temporarily, till that day.
So you dont hope to even move the smallest bone (other parts eaten by the worms, if buried,) before that. Tang ku ku if you think you can rise up if Singapore is in trouble.

Singapore has been extremely serendipitous to have Mrs Lee and Mr Lee.
For her, a top student of the whole of Malaya and a Queen’s scholar and husband a top litigator , both first class honors at Cambridge to dedicate their lives to Singapore. We have to put things in context.
During those times, in the 1960 and 70’s , for those who were around, knew how life was.
We had bucket system for our night soil, aka human waste, poor public transportation system, low education, low employment opportunities, uncertain socio political times, floods in Bukit Timah etc. Talk to the old people , they will remember and are therefore extremely grateful and loyal to the PAP.
Singaporeans are a pragmatic lot. We are not driven by ideology unless it serves us beneficially. We have gained tremendously from the PAP governance. To argue otherwise, it’s tomfoolery. It’a an upstream argument.
Instead of all the unnecessary immature rancorous comments, opponents of the incumbent govt need to wake up and grow up. Come up with intelligent arguments and cleverer solutions. Not just anti govt noise.
I think Singaporeans don’t mind some opposition in parliament but not opposition for the sake of opposition.

I’m disappointed over the display of utter disrespect.
Someone has died.
Regardless how you feel, the person was someone’s daughter, friend, wife, mother and grandmother.
Keep your grievances at the professional level.
Even if you can’t feel sorry for the grieving family, at least have some class and lay off the comments and calling of names.
There’ll be time enough to blast the PAP.
But for now, someone has died.
Let’s show we are capable of compassion, for if not, how different are we from the ones we so want to pull down from power?

I think the comments in this thread and other threads are reall disappointing and amazing. Disappointing to see the childish and unsubstantiated claims and sepculations taken as rock solid truth. Amazing to see the blind hatred that removed compassion….sad day for Singapore as a whole…

Why are all the comments so negative… about Mrs Lee Kuan Yew… Some say hope that Lee Kuan Yew is the next to die… Some say Mrs Lee Kuan Yew is the most wicked woman. Cool it Down and do some reflections.
They probably are money-blood-suckers… probably, certain things – we felt that is not fair or injustice. But, who made Singapore the lowest crime rate country? Who made Singapore prosper to a first world country? Who made Singaporeans such a law-abiding citizens? And, who did the CPF compulsory to allow you people to have a house to stay?
It is not about carrying balls… or saying crude remarks. Just be courtesy enough to say RIP.
I am a true blue Singaporean… having no biased feelings and thoughts towards our current government. I personally feel… if you think it is so sulky to stay in Singapore and our ministers are so terrible… Then why don’t you leave here for good and go to other countries to stay?
We all know the efforts… that our predessors did for us. We just conveniently blame them for everything… If you are Lee Kuan Yew – would you have done the same thing as what he did OR rather some of you saying Mrs Lee Kuan Yew did… OR you will rule the country in a different manner but with many social problems and corruption?
