Chee Soon Juan writes to Lee Kuan Yew for a change of heart

Mr Lee Kuan Yew
Minister Mentor

Dear Mr Lee,

As you grieve over the loss of Mdm Kwa Geok Choo, many Singaporeans grieve with you. Everytime someone dear to us passes away, the pain is deep. Losing a loved one is the cruelest act that life can inflict on humans.

Even as you mourn the loss of Mdm Kwa, I am certain that you think of the happier moments that the both of you shared and that you, of all the people in this world, were the one to have had the pleasure of spending a lifetime with her. That, at least, is to be celebrated.

But while you had Mdm Kwa on whom you cultivated your affection, there were others who were deprived of that very same joy. They were not separated from their loved ones by that surly grasp of death, but by political power with which you wielded, and wielded so ruthlessly and unjustly.

You had Mr Chia Thye Poh locked up for most of his adult life. He was incarcerated when he was only 25 and regained his freedom only when he turned 57. Even Nelson Mandela spent less years under detention. The best years of Mr Chia’s life was so inhumanely taken away. He had a girlfriend who could not wait for him and who left him when he was still in prison.

Dr Lim Hock Siew married Dr Beatrice Chia. When I met them recently, I saw the love – unspoken but abiding – that they had for each other despite the fact that you had kept them apart for 20 years.

Then there is Mr Said Zahari whom you also imprisoned for years, 17 years to be exact. He spoke lovingly of his late wife, Salamah, whom he adored. She faithfully and lovingly tended home while waiting for her soulmate to return and to hold her and to talk with her. She struggled with their four children, running a foodstall to eke out a living while Said languished in prison. Their children often had no money to go to school.

To this day, he asks for God’s forgiveness for breaking the oath he made with Salamah to be together when they married each other. When she died in 2004, his heart must have broken into a thousand pieces, just like yours is breaking into a thousand pieces.

While you loved your wife, they loved theirs too.

There are scores of others who cannot be reunited with their families because you have made it so. Ms Tang Fong Har, who was detained in 1987 and who subsequently fled to Hong Kong, has been wanting to return to Singapore to see her ailing mother. But she cannot because there is still the threat of her being re-arrested if she returns.

Others like Mr Tang Liang Hong are also separated from their families because they cannot return to Singapore without facing incarceration.

I, too, have family. My wife wishes for me to return to Taiwan with her to be with her family. I cannot fulfill that obligation because you have made it so. I did go to Taiwan last year, but only to attend my father-in-law’s funeral. He had asked about me before he died but by the time I got to his bedside after I managed to get the Official Assignee’s approval to leave the country, he had lost consciousness. I never got to say goodbye.

It pains me to think that the only time I can be with my wife and children in Taiwan is when someone in the family dies.

You have taken away much of what I have but despite all that you have done to me and mine, I bear you no ill-will. As I said to you during our trial in 2008, you are an intelligent man, I only hope that you will become a wise one. I meant it then and I mean it now. Love and the relationships we have with family and friends are what matter most. Riches and power mean little when those dearest to us leave us.

I extend to you my deepest sympathies on the demise of Mdm Kwa. I want to express my condolence in the sincerest manner I know how. While I commiserate with you on your loss, I would be remiss if I did not take this opportuinity to tell you, if you don’t already know, how much pain you have inflicted on your political opponents and whose families you have torn apart, the same kind of pain that you presently feel.

In the remaining time while you still walk this earth with us, turn from your ways. Free yourself from the prison of wealth and power that keeps you from cherishing that most precious of life’s qualities – humanity. It is still not too late.

Sincerely,

Chee Soon Juan

from dust we came and ubto dust,we shall return.
the only certainty in life is death.
death is the gateway to new life.

everything and all things exist for a purpose.
    every leaf,every flower,every creature,big and small;every man and woman,mighty or humble,all have their purpose.
we have all been formed by the heavens to do our part here on earth.
nothing lasts forever and all is but an illusion.
let us contemplate on the higher order of things.

let us show compassion to others as we may one day, need theirs too.
every good action begets even more goodness for ourselves and others.

there is only two ways in life-the GOOD or the EVIL.
    the choice is ours…

MAY THE HEAVENS BLESS US ALL.

let us apply our gifts to the betterment of ourselves and all mankind.
what is power or riches when we cannot carry them along with us when we expire?

Surely with this, Chee Soon Juan has gain political gratification.

People of Singapore wish that Mr. Lee have compassion and let his political opponents be reunited with their families.

Consider it as some form of amnesty and kindness beget kindness.

Writing to him would only irritate and induce his wrath. At this advanced age, he still heads SID. Can you imagine what power and wealth mean?

In ancient time, the emperor who wanted to accumulate more merits would grant amnesty. I think Dr Chee has better chances writing to his son. I think the son is much more compassionate.

Let’s hope LKY will be a changed person after his beloved wife’s death. And as far as concerned, i too must admit that LKY is indeed a very shrewd politician, but i must say he do it in a wrong manner. If the passing of his wife’s death could let him have a change of heart, i mean a really human heart towards his fellow beings in singapore, then i think he is still not incorrigible afterall.

  • No point writing to this old Fart!
His heart is as stone and will never move a bit to be remorseful! You all know what I am saying…even at this age, even at his wife’s funeral, he will still swipe at others whenever he could.
Wonder what he will be like when he meets his creator??

This is one of the reasons why I read TR. From what I recalled, I had not read any information about the pain the families of those rivals had to go through in which now I know. As my name suggest twosides, to get a clearer picture it is best to have both sides of the stories TR and CNA/ST.

Of the pain they had to go pain, it is especially the children that I feel most sorry for as they are the most innocent ones. They had to suffer due the battle between the adults. I really hope that the next step the gamen take they would factor the priorities of children of Singapore, afterall they are the future of Singapore, without them there will be no Singapore – minusing the FT/FW the gamen is bringing in.

True words of a gentlemen, Dr.Chee aka Balls of Steel …
am pro Singaporean and will support any party that is pro Singaporean, to lock someone up and leave them to rot with no trial does not make any sense at all….

Is that person so POWERFUL of an influence that others are not able to evaluate and decide on their thoughts and actions ?

I would like to thank the oppositions and internet for providing me with alternative news and feedback

Some of the feedback are crap, and it is when we can to see both sides of the coin that we can make a informed decision on what is best.

SIngaporeans dont have to leave this country, just have to exercise your vote!

extract from: From Dictatorship to Democracy.

The problem of dictatorships is deep.
People in many countries have experienced decades or
even centuries of oppression, whether of domestic or foreign origin.
Frequently, unquestioning submission to authority figures and rulers
has been long inculcated. In extreme cases, the social, political,
economic, and even religious institutions of the society — outside
of state control — have been deliberately weakened, subordinated,
or even replaced by new regimented institutions used by the state
or ruling party to control the society. The population has often been
atomized (turned into a mass of isolated individuals) unable to work
together to achieve freedom, to confide in each other, or even to do
much of anything at their own initiative.
The result is predictable: the population becomes weak, lacks
self-confidence, and is incapable of resistance. People are often too
frightened to share their hatred of the dictatorship and their hunger
for freedom even with family and friends. People are often too
terrified to think seriously of public resistance. In any case, what
would be the use? Instead, they face suffering without purpose and
    a future without hope.

extract from: From Dictatorship to Democracy.

A Fourteenth Century Chinese parable by Liu-Ji, for example, outlines
this neglected understanding of political power quite well.
In the feudal state of Chu an old man survived by keeping
monkeys in his service. The people of Chu called him “ju
    gong” (monkey master).
Each morning, the old man would assemble the monkeys
in his courtyard, and order the eldest one to lead the others
to the mountains to gather fruits from bushes and trees.
It was the rule that each monkey had to give one-tenth of
his collection to the old man. Those who failed to do so
would be ruthlessly flogged. All the monkeys suffered
    bitterly, but dared not complain.
One day, a small monkey asked the other monkeys: “Did
the old man plant all the fruit trees and bushes?” The others
said: “No, they grew naturally.” The small monkey
further asked: “Can’t we take the fruits without the old
man’s permission?” The others replied: “Yes, we all can.”
The small monkey continued: “Then, why should we depend
on the old man; why must we all serve him?”
Before the small monkey was able to finish his statement,
all the monkeys suddenly became enlightened and awakened.
On the same night, watching that the old man had fallen
asleep, the monkeys tore down all the barricades of the
stockade in which they were confined, and destroyed the
stockade entirely. They also took the fruits the old man had
in storage, brought all with them to the woods, and never
returned. The old man finally died of starvation.
Yu-li-zi says, “Some men in the world rule their people by
tricks and not by righteous principles. Aren’t they just like
the monkey master? They are not aware of their muddle headedness.
As soon as their people become enlightened,
    their tricks no longer work.”

  • How much more inhuman can you be?

I understand that when Said Zahari was detained his wife had just given birth to their daughter. When he was finally released 17 years later the said child was already in a JC. Imagine growing up without fatherly love and guidance – an ‘orphan’ who’s father lived in solitary confinement.

Said Zahari’s ‘crime’? – He went against LKY. Did he advocate violence? No evidence of that. Was he charged in a court of law? Not that we know of. Did he miss his wife and family? You bet.

Was his ‘heart heavy with sorrow and grief’ all those years? Much, much more I guess because 17 years of grieving is a very, very long time indeed.

To love and care for one’s immediately family is a common human trait. But one of the hallmarks of a true leader lies in his ability to also feel for those outside his immediate family. That makes a lot of difference.

My heart bleats for all those who had suffered unjustifiably under the PAP regime.

    Dear Dr. Chee,

A very POIGNANT letter to a very HARD man. Will it penetrate the SOUL of LKY??? Yes? No? but maybe.

LKY a self confessed AGNOSTIC bordering on ATHEISM to NOMINAL BUDDHIST and now having MARANATHA as a mantra may finally believe that there is a SOUL residing in him.

With you letter and his recent bereavement the SOUL may awaken and he may be BORN AGAIN.

In the world of politics there are no enemies and there are no friends, its the survival of the fittest, cruelest and most cunning.

I wish you well Dr. Chee even though I initially do not agree with your political style. My only hope for you is the supposedly numerous supporters you have will bring you out of your bankruptcy in order to live a normal life again.

Once again, lets hear it from the supporters of SDP and Dr.Chee will you or is it only lip service.

    Well…

At least CSJ is still sticking to his principles and self respect as a human being…

And his letter to LKY shows that singapore and its peoples can go further if we “work” together…and willing to let the past be the past..yes the pain will still be there…we will remember it and learn and “built” a future from it…because the future is the key point here for singapore and its peoples…

the “humpty-dunpty” thingy for the past 20 odd years or so…has historical precedents which has always shown that in the end all the “paid” ‘King’s’ men “loyalty” is only skin deep…

Kind of strange that the current/past leadership did not ‘go out of its way’ to “woo” those who are more then willing to work for singapore and its people 1st then “those” who are always “whining” and “asking” or “requiring” more and more blood money to do their bloody jobs that was originally given on a silver plate to ‘em….bloody ingrates…and which is already considered well paying in the 1st place…

Kind of nuts when you see the current leadership have to pay ridiculious amount of money to continue to “keep” their “loyalty” and “service”. Ingrates all right and goddamn parasites too.

    Very well-written!

It’s funny how some people expect the dead to be given a saintly halo just because they are dead. Get real! Dying is part and parcel of life. Yeah, we should judge a person by what she did and how she had helped others when she was placed in a position of power.

Why should a private citizen, albeit the wife of the most powerful man in Singapore, be given a state funeral when even our ex-President wasn’t? The laughable irony is that the directive for a state funeral comes from the deceased’s son… If this is not “soft” cronyism, I sure don’t know what is.

Enough is enough. Let’s move on!

    Dear Dr. Chee Soon Juan,

I admire your honesty and your courage in speaking up. Most people won’t dare do it the way you did.

Although I feel that MM will never take your advice, it is still important for you to speak your heart. I share the same sentiment. That is why I rejected the PAP twice when they asked me to join them as a party member. I feel that the PAP by way of the ISA had deprieved many peoples’ freedom and separated many wives from their husbands and children from their fathers.

I hope MM will change his heart for the betterment NOT just for Singaporeans but MORE SO for himself.

Here is a song dedicated to you and your family. May the LORD Jesus bless you and all at SDP abundantly.

    An imagined response…

    Mr Chee Soon Juan
    (insert your title here)

    Dear Soon Juan,

Do you mind if I call you that? We’ve known each other for so long that I feel there should be a certain level of familiarity between us. Afterall, you’ve derided and slandered me so often and have dispensed with formality in public and private (I hear things) that there is no point for pretense is there?

Thank you for your kind words on the death of my wife. As you know, she was a dear person and confidant.

I would like to address your request. I would like to help you, I really really would. But I can’t, and it’s because of you. Not that I don’t like you, or am vindictive, but because you tied my hands.

You see, as you, and your team of comedy writers at Temasek Review have always written, trumpted and harped about is how the Republic of Singapore is bigger than one man and one family. You see, I believe that too. This is why I can’t do anything, because you were charged under Singapore law, not Lee’s law. Hence, any permission you need is not From me but from the courts, and the OA. They work for the state, not me, and thus must follow procedure, rules and regulations, not a sentimental old man’s whim. It’s called checks and balances, something that is key in a democracy that you are so fond of. In a democracy, everyone is treated the same, from a member of the opposition to the karang guni man, to me. Why do you deserve to be treated differently?

Now you might be asking why I can’t call the judge and/or minister, and suggest some lieniency for you? Two simple words actually, judicial independence! Magic words that you are a great fan of. You see the judges, and minister are sick of all the years you’ve called them cardboard cutouts and questioed their integrity. I’m sure if I even ask them for this favour, they will do the exact opposite to show their independence and that they are not bound to me. Sucks huh?

This is indicative of a problem that you have, which prevents you from being a serious political leader; you lack foresight. This is not what Singapore needs. Sure immediate fixes are great, but what are the longer term implications? You, sir, are now stuck in a Catch-22 situation, where you are damned for what you did.

    Sincerely

Now I guess you’re thinking why can’t I suggest to the minister or judge to release

Thank you BOTH Temasek Review and Dr. Chee Soon Juan for your magnamity and wisdom to post what the other wrote to Lee Kuan Yew.

The fact that he saw it fitting to take a swipe at the late Lim Ching Siong in his eulogy for his wife, showed he was giving accolades to prove that they were BOTH in one mind. And that she WAS and HAS always BEEN his Mastermind with him as the “Fall Guy” hor!

Marvellous BENEVOLENCE Dear Dr. Chee as the way you said it SHOWED that you are not a vindictive man. Even I have read you wrong at time and I extend my sincerest apology to you even though you of course do not know this. All these things happening is WHAT “HUMANITY” IS ABOUT as you conclude you loving letter to Lee Kuan Yew who at his age and as a “Mentor” still does not know anything about. Poor chap.

And he reminds me of 2 great actors, Tony Curis who just died. And Kirk Douglas as Spartacus in the movie of the same name. And Tony Curtis as that evil Roman Centurion who kill many chariot racers. But when he couldn’t kill Spartacus, got trampled by his own horses and rolled over by his own chariot, with his dying breath asked for Spartacus only for mocking him that, “You will be pleased to know that your mother and yourr wife are in the valley of the lepers now”! Some evil people just won’t give up. So I hope that Lee Kuan Yew will.

God Bless you you Dr. Chee and Family and may HE give you many parliamentary seat in this coming GE and use you mightily to rid Singapore of such evil according to HIS will. And God Bless Temasek Review too. Amen.

  • My Story:

Mdm Kwa’s passing is actually a relief for her as she is no longer able to enjoy quality of life. She lived to a ripe old age, a life that many do not have, so one cannot but envy her and should be happy that her sufferings has ended. There are many in prison, waiting for their lives to end, lives that will end prematurely. Spare your thoughts for them and their families too. Yes, we all love our families, spouse and children, but above all, we should also love our fellow men. Below is something that may put a different perspective on empathy of others for some of you.

“You were on your way home when you died.
It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me.
And that’s when you met me.
“What… what happened?” You asked. “Where am I?”
“You died,” I said, matter-of-factly. No point in mincing words.
“There was a… a truck and it was skidding…”
    “Yup,” I said.
    “I… I died?”
“Yup. But don’t feel bad about it. Everyone dies,” I said.
You looked around. There was nothingness. Just you and me. “What is this place?” You asked. “Is this the afterlife?”
    “More or less,” I said.
    “Are you god?” You asked.
    “Yup,” I replied. “I’m God.”
“My kids… my wife,” you said.
    “What about them?”
    “Will they be all right?”
“That’s what I like to see,” I said. “You just died and your main concern is for your family. That’s good stuff right there.”
You looked at me with fascination. To you, I didn’t look like God. I just looked like some man. Or possibly a woman. Some vague authority figure, maybe. More of a grammar school teacher than the almighty.
“Don’t worry,” I said. “They’ll be fine. Your kids will remember you as perfect in every way. They didn’t have time to grow contempt for you. Your wife will cry on the outside, but will be secretly relieved. To be fair, your marriage was falling apart. If it’s any consolation, she’ll feel very guilty for feeling relieved.”
“Oh,” you said. “So what happens now? Do I go to heaven or hell or something?”
“Neither,” I said. “You’ll be reincarnated.”
“Ah,” you said. “So the Hindus were right,”
“All religions are right in their own way,” I said. “Walk with me.”
You followed along as we strode through the void. “Where are we going?”
“Nowhere in particular,” I said. “It’s just nice to walk while we talk.”
“So what’s the point, then?” You asked. “When I get reborn, I’ll just be a blank slate, right? A baby. So all my experiences and everything I did in this life won’t matter.”
“Not so!” I said. “You have within you all the knowledge and experiences of all your past lives. You just don’t remember them right now.”
I stopped walking and took you by the shoulders. “Your soul is more magnificent, beautiful, and gigantic than you can possibly imagine. A human mind can only contain a tiny fraction of what you are. It’s like sticking your finger in a glass of water to see if it’s hot or cold. You put a tiny part of yourself into the vessel, and when you bring it back out, you’ve gained all the experiences it had.
“You’ve been in a human for the last 48 years, so you haven’t stretched out yet and felt the rest of your immense consciousness. If we hung out here for long enough, you’d start remembering everything. But there’s no point to doing that between each life.”
“How many times have I been reincarnated, then?”
“Oh lots. Lots and lots. An in to lots of different lives.” I said. “This time around, you’ll be a Chinese peasant girl in 540 AD.”
“Wait, what?” You stammered. “You’re sending me back in time?”
“Well, I guess technically. Time, as you know it, only exists in your universe. Things are different where I come from.”
“Where you come from?” You said.
“Oh sure,” I explained “I come from somewhere. Somewhere else. And there are others like me. I know you’ll want to know what it’s like there, but honestly you wouldn’t understand.”
“Oh,” you said, a little let down. “But wait. If I get reincarnated to other places in time, I could have interacted with myself at some point.”
“Sure. Happens all the time. And with both lives only aware of their own lifespan you don’t even know it’s happening.”
“So what’s the point of it all?”
“Seriously?” I asked. “Seriously? You’re asking me for the meaning of life? Isn’t that a little stereotypical?”
“Well it’s a reasonable question,” you persisted.
I looked you in the eye. “The meaning of life, the reason I made this whole universe, is for you to mature.”
“You mean mankind? You want us to mature?”
“No, just you. I made this whole universe for you. With each new life you grow and mature and become a larger and greater intellect.”
“Just me? What about everyone else?”
“There is no one else,” I said. “In this universe, there’s just you and me.”
You stared blankly at me. “But all the people on earth…”
“All you. Different incarnations of you.”
    “Wait. I’m everyone!?”
“Now you’re getting it,” I said, with a congratulatory slap on the back.
“I’m every human being who ever lived?”
“Or who will ever live, yes.”
    “I’m Abraham Lincoln?”
“And you’re John Wilkes Booth, too,” I added.
    “I’m Hitler?” You said, appalled.
“And you’re the millions he killed.”
    “I’m Jesus?”
“And you’re everyone who followed him.”
    You fell silent.
“Every time you victimized someone,” I said, “you were victimizing yourself. Every act of kindness you’ve done, you’ve done to yourself. Every happy and sad moment ever experienced by any human was, or will be, experienced by you.”
You thought for a long time.
“Why?” You asked me. “Why do all this?”
“Because someday, you will become like me. Because that’s what you are. You’re one of my kind. You’re my child.”
“Whoa,” you said, incredulous. “You mean I’m a god?”
“No. Not yet. You’re a fetus. You’re still growing. Once you’ve lived every human life throughout all time, you will have grown enough to be born.”
“So the whole universe,” you said, “it’s just…”
“An egg.” I answered. “Now it’s time for you to move on to your next life.”
And I sent you on your way.”

In his moment of “anguish and sorrow” – MM LKY had drawn on his inner strength to drive himself harder as happened on 9 August 1965.

It is not too late for MM LKY to reflect on the past 53 years of his life time work and do what is right for Singaporeans.

He could fill his lonely hours to change the course, to correct what he had done so wrong to achieve only half of what he had aspired, and left unaccomplished that which he had wanted as a member on the other side of the aisle in Parliament during the mid-1950s.

He should not allow his disappointment with a failed merger in a larger Malaysia to skew his declared values so eloquently espoused – as a minority voice in the Malaysian Federal Parliament in 1964, and earlier as a member of the opposition in the Singapore Legislature in the mid-1950s.

God took only 7 days to create the world.

MM LKY will surely have more then 7 days to change what is right for the future of Singapore and for Singaporeans.

Yes, you are right. This old man is a lawyer and well verses with the laws to do the wicked things because of his lust and greed of money, power and prestige. Besides, he is very addicted to sue people. Laws as I said before, can be used to do good or bad things. He is so old now, age 87-year old, is still so greedy and he is getting $3,000,000 per year or more from the taxpayers’money.
This old man is a barbarian descendent from the stone age. Barbarian has thick skin and no shame at all. He is a Singaporean to kill Singaporeans with merciless and heartless.Alot of our people are killed by him. What do since the 66.6% of the Pro Alien Party voted him into the high office? I think Dr. Chee is wasting his time to talk him out. May as well save your brealth and watch out his old man. Three generation of political opponents are already destroyed by him. What can we say about him? Even his son learns from his father about how, where and when the fix our native Singaporeans. If the old man is empathy or putting his shoes into yours, he will not do such thing long ago and may apologize to you. For the fourth generation of political opponents, I advise you to be always on guard and alert as your turn may come. Take care, please.

Being a neurologist,Dr.Chee sure knows how to make LKY “feel” after reading his letter (though LKY may never get to read it). However the vindictiveness in LKY would never be melted by such an appeal. Instead he would be hurried into “reinforcing” his ISD machinery, probably grab his “knuckle duster” and “hatchet” and face his perceived “enemies” in a final “cul-de-sac”!

If a man at 87 still does not mellow down to be magnanimous, he is beyond hope.So let’s wait for Karma or Retribution to take place as God always has a way (even for an agnostic like him).

Dr.Chee has evoked our compassion for the many victims who suffered
under LKY’s cruel detention without trial.More painful is the children of these victims who were deprived of a normal family love and financial support whilst LKY’s family, children and grandchildren enjoy the “royalty” life.

If our Singaporeans are still turning a blind eye to cruelty due to fear, then this nation is not worth our concern anymore.

What a well thought out and polite and relevant letter!
By a miracle, maybe Mr Lee might read it and reflect on it. It all depends on what his personal secretary does with it, as i am sure most of LKY;s personal mail are screened before it is “fit” for his consumption. The personal secretary (or whatever equivalent protocol)could just trash it and not even mention it….. as in deaf-frog syndrome.

if chee do not make amends to be a better man,a better politician, then you are right in your station but i think we should all give our DISADVANTAGED a chance especially when they sacrificed themselves and their families for us.
it is no easy feat to be an aspiring politician here;there are just too many stumbling blocks that hinder the way unless you are a chosen one?

Heavenly world can come about when humans and their leaders first respect the Unseen where all things stem from. Ponder.

DR Chee, lately i have reading about you and SDP. i have come to a point where i admire and respect you for your selfless life. You and your sister has helped many people who were unfairly “treated” by the PAP’s puppets. Today you have one more vote from me to your SDP.
DO come to Woodlands and defeat the PAP. At the ground level, there are many unhappy residents. So do come to Woodlands. You stand a good chance here.GOD Bless you and your family.

I think that many here are blaming the ISD and relevant departments blindly.

They are merely men of lower levels following orders sent from above, akin to the herding of sheep by beings of greater dominance.

I guess u must have just moved to Woodlands. SDP was fighting PAP in 2006 GE. Dr Chee was bankrupted by PAP. He was stopped by the police when he was arriving to speak at one of the rallies. PAP had spinned the news that SDP were hooligans.
I pray too that more will cast their votes to SDP this coming GE.
Just come to Woodlands and you will realize that you are in the united nations. Soon 1 in 3 will be a native Singaporean.

I pray that Singapore be liberated.

Thanks for continually exposing the PAPpies

If you were elected into the Parliament, im sure you will make a greater impact than LTK.

Nonetheless if you are elected, i would encourage you to think about solutions as an MP to help others

What a hypocrite sending such a condolence letter to a bereaved family still grieving and in mourning for the departed. Does he have any human feeling for the adversary who had RIP, contrary to the Chinese belief and customs and respect for the dead. Instead, he is highlighting his own personal problems which he himself had created. Who asked him to defame his political adversaries wantonly and be sued for bankruptcy? Who asked him to commit criminal offences in public and sent to jail repeatedly as if he was a martyr sacrificing for Singapore. There is a political price to pay for being a bankrupt and being a jail bird. You have to live with what you have done and not point fingers at others for your own folly!

That’s their fault, who ask them to follow orders blindly? Does not mean that men of lower levels do not carry the weight of their actions on their shoulders come Judgement day. They can shout ‘Lesser evil’ but beating up a helpless guy infront of their wife and depriving a sick guy from medication? Common!.. ppl say birds of the same flock…

Thanks for saying that I was “happilly” benefitting and prospering from the influx of foreigners. That I belong to those elites class that own shops and lots of HDB to rent out or making profits from selling them. Whoa this must be a “Singapore dream” the PAPayas want to spin. As if all you said goes to my pockets. Hey wake up! Reality, I have mortgage to pay till I am 62. I have to work until then on my less than $2000/mth. I haven’t have a wage increase for years now. Thanks to the “FT” for suppressing the pay.
Also I am wiped out of my CPF to pay for my 4room flat. I have no savings; a very typical singaporean. If I sell my house where would I stay?
Lee Er San, are you one taking advantage of what you had imply? Share how you do it. I am sure everyone in TR likes to know.

    Dear Dr.Chee,

    cc.GotSlapped & LIONSROAR

Todate nothing for your support or any suggestions how to help you when I mentioned that UOB does not need an ATM card to deposit into any account so the fear factor is not the reason.

The real reason is balless, bigmouth lip service (you die your business)I support behind the scene,no balls lah! only talk big and curse and swear.

My sympathies for your sacrifices and the trauma your family had to endure. My only prayer is LKY and those that put you in bankruptcy and the OA in charge of your case will have the heart to release you from your SHIT so to speak if you abide by the rules of BANKRUPTCY.

Dear Dr.Chee,I admire your courage or silliness??? is it worth it??? unlike JBJ he had 2 brilliant sons to provide for him, yours??? still toddlers.

Look behind you Dr. Chee if you find 300 that will follow you through HELL & HIGH WATER than disregard my post.If not than consider your family because that is the only place you will find solace besides GOD.I wish you well and may the Almighty bless you and your family and hopefully HE will awaken LKY’s soul with his MARANATHA MANTRA and who knows he may seek a discharge for you.MIRACLES do HAPPEN and as the book say “With GOD nothing is impossible”

MAJULLAH SINGAPURA!!! MY NATION MY HOME!!!

    Dear Dr.Chee,

Your face and letter is at the bottom line and soon you will fade and non of your supporters is throwing you a lifeline.

The truth hurts and I may be and had been flame by strangers and it does not bother me as stick & stone can break my bones but words will never hurt me.

For you Dr.Chee your sacrifice is valiant but it will not put three meals on your table for your toddlers and remember if you find 300 Spartans behind you then with God’ blessing go forth and do your thing, otherwise, remember even Jesus when the hour has come Peter denies him three times and He is still alive today.

As for you???sad but forgotten in no time.

My best wishes for you and your family and with Christmas just around the corner may you receive the Peace & Goodwill which you so deserved for the sacrifice you had given for NON deserving lip serving supporters.

    Yours sincerely,
    Temujin

I have written to Dr. Chee and I am waiting his response. If Singaporeans are willing, we will together overcome his bankruptcy and have him ready for the next elections.

Do Singaporeans donating to this fund want to any per-conditions? I hope not. Only one I can think of is if the fund become oversubscribed, the money be turned over to help opposition candidates overcome the hefty election deposits.

Best of luck to Dr. Chee.

“Of cos a i know whu CSJ is.”

If you know who CSJ is, what then is your point? Are you trying to say something? Open your mouth and nothing comes out???

    “Come on, a LOSER.”

Singaporeans are losers under the PAP. If you cannot see through this then you are daft. What quality of life do we have? We are overwhelmed by foreigners and soon Singaporeans will be the minority – outnumbered.

Oue national institution the HDB has been hi-jacked by PR foreigners who are allowed to buy and rent out or re-sell for profits.

Our infrastructure that we paid dearly to build have been hi-jacked by foreigners for their use – schools, hospitals, roads, buses and trains. Singaporeans now wait for flats. Our children compete for places in schools of choice. We wait for medical attention and buses and MRT trains are overcrowded by foreigners.

The cost of living has gone up so much that many poorer Singaporeans resort to going to Johore Baru to buy cheaper food.

The PAP Government is now asking PRs to join the People’s Association. Soon foreigners will take over the PA and that our grass-roots organizations will be in foreign hands. They can set up community clubs for the Philipino community, for the PRC community, for the Indian community, for the Myanmarese community etc. and they will soon clamour for minority representation in Parliament.

If you think we are not losers, then I repeat, you must be daft.

    Dear Dr Chee,

When a person passes over, it is a solemn and sad affair. Your choice to mix human feelings on this sad occasion and politic to express your feelings shows that you have little respect for people whose loves ones has passed over and to the deceased too. It would have been so much better and credible on your part if you have just expressed condolences and not took the opportunity to say anything else. The fact that you did shows the very person and the thoughts and while on the one side you have expressed your condolences you have unkwowingly projected your other ugly side of taking the advantage of a deceased as an ocassion to express your political view and desires.

I have no idea how you have been treated in singapore politics but i can feel sorry for you and having taken a little time to read the wikipedia of you I cant help noticed that you have done very little to help singaporean and the manner you have pursued your goals appears to be non statesman like.

I have no idea how singapore has become to be so admired today but I know 50 years ago more or less one man was very worrried about how he could make sure every singaporean put food on thier dining tables for thier families and that was about 2,000,000 people. Raising a family of 4 is already a headache and with no natural resources and have to ensure food on the tables for 2,000,000 people is really a scary thing. That man is LKY.

If only you could be that effective, I am sure singaporean will come to admire you. I wish you had pursued your political career through stable and strong rationales that will help singapore to grow and move forward. That can happen even if you are in the opposition and singapore is capable of this scenario now.

Al in all, I wish you have just expressed your condolences and not added in your political desires. Politics can be for another day.

    Thank you.

    GLY
