SPH publishes new book on MM Lee Kuan Yew’s ‘Hard Truths’
A NEW book to be launched on Jan 21 will offer a rare glimpse into the mind of the most influential man in Singapore’s history.

Lee Kuan Yew
Titled ‘Lee Kuan Yew: Hard Truths to Keep Singapore Going’, it is based on 16 interviews the Minister Mentor gave to seven journalists from The Straits Times from December 2008 to October 2009.
The 458-page, 11-chapter tome is a comprehensive examination of Mr Lee’s beliefs. It covers weighty topics such as Singapore’s political system, climate change and international relations, but also lighter ones, like his views on tattoos, fengshui and movies.
One distinctive feature is its extensive use of the question-and-answer format, which the authors hoped would engage younger readers and capture unvarnished, the robust exchanges between Mr Lee and his interviewers.
‘There hasn’t been a book like this where his views are subjected to such intense questioning and scrutiny in 32 hours of interviews,’ said The Straits Times editor Han Fook Kwang, 57, who led the team of seven writers.
.
Source: Straits Times

I wouldn’t want to read a book of interviews conducted by the very media organisation, LKY has controlled since 1959. If they really want the ‘hard’ truth, they should be asking the following questions:
Were you also working for the British (undercover) during WWII?
How did you manage to get on board a military ship ‘Britanica’ to head off to UK to do your studies when you were not in the military?
Did you believe in Merger for the sake of uniting Singapore and Malaysia or did you have any other ulterior motives? and other questions like that!!!

Rare glimpse? This old man has been spouting his senile mind out every day for the last 40 years, and publishing yet another book every other year… what rare glimpse? To many glimpses already…

This is the story of Harry Lee Kuan Yew,
Promised us he’ll govern Singapore anew,
Claimed to be better than Marshall the Jew,
So to him and the PAP our votes flew,
Then seemingly he came in as PM the new,
But soon us S’poreans he started to screw,
One by one all our rights away he blew,
Our brave ones disagreed with his view,
So under the ISA in prison them he threw,
One such poor soul was Dr. Lim Hock Siew,
With a hatchet everyone he threatens to slew,
And in extreme fear of him Singaporeans grew,
Highest salaries he and his ministers withdrew,
Boasting that they are the only brightest few,
Today life in Singapore is no honey and dew,
It has become so bad even a gum you can’t chew,
So its time time to vote out Lee and his crew
Since all their evils we have now already knew.

Actually hor,the ST title should be “Hard Truths to see Singapore gone” more appropriate because that’s how he “demolished” Singapore lor.

Errh it does say much. I thought some word of wisdom coming out from MM Lee. I prefer hard politics lah, not feng shui and movies leh.
MM Lee should make some bold prediction 5 yrs from now…
His prediction on North Korea having a nuke (USA will never attack North Korea, Seoul is just to close to the firing range)
His prediction on Japan and South Korea have a nuke
Then is will be very peaceful, nobody dares to provoke on another because either one can annihilated the other
MM Lee should make some bold prediction on world economy 5 years from now…
Made In China = Own By China (European Big Brother China)
China is buying up debts bonds of Portugal, Greece, Iceland, Ireland and now Spain, maybe Italy or France in the future
Made In China = Own By China (USA Big Brother is China)
China is buying up debts bonds of USA, she owe China 990 billion dollars. USA is head to war with Iran or North Korea that will add up to another 2 trillon dollars she had to borrow from China.
Currently 25% of USA GDP is given free to Iraq and Afghanistan war fund every year. The Republican Party can’t wait to start another war
MM Lee just spit it out, don’t worry…(speaking moderately is not a trend now)
China Army General told:”Robert Gates don’t sell weapons to Taiwan, we are not happy, don’t you do that again, if you want the to preserve the special relationship”
MP Jack Straw said:”it is true white are easy meat for men” it is true their culture is like that.

whatever good impressions the book attempts to capture of LKY’s exploits is only totlaly tainted by the mere fact that countless loyal singaporeans have been made JOBLESS because of one daft FT POLICY.
BTW,many jobless singaporeans are still shouldering the burden of his son’s poorly conceived and chaotic FT policy implementation.
pride of our leaders has go the better of whatever little wisdom – moral or economics/secular – that is left of them.
sticking stubbornly to the FT POLICY is akin to ‘SLAUGHTERING’ our own citizens,it is not unlike extermination of our own kind as economic well-being is closely tied to a person’s physical, mental and spiritual well-being ultimately.

Ask any South Indians who is the ‘SUPERSTAR’ and they will all say ‘Rajinikanth’. All the movie industry like Bollywood, Kollywood and so on will also not deny that title to this Tamil star.
Guess who did he say was his ‘Superstar’ when asked by a famous film director.
This Superstar in India said his ‘SUPERSTAR’ is MR ### #### ###
Maybe, an outsider can see somethings we cannot see.
Maybe, when we stand to close to a masterpiece we may not see the full picture.

And he is just making use of all these resources at his disposal to re-write history in the only way that he others to look back at him. A real gentleman would not have to resort to such means to achieve his ends.
The true to life gentlemen that I can remember are people like Goh Keng Swee, Ong Teng Cheong, Wee Kim Wee, and maybe even Jeyaretnam.
He is what he is today simply at the liberty of everyone else. In fact he should be ashamed that what it takes him to achieved today is at the expense of the sacrifices and sufferings of so many fellow citizens and their immediate families. That to me, is really nothing to brag about.

There is a time for every thing.
Mr Lee Kuan Yew has taken that path.
He is not giving any taughts to what is said about him now.
There was a time he used to be paranoid about what people things, now he is not bothered.
There is a time for everything.
He has even let go of his good friend (spouse) and believes there is a time for everything.
Nothing in this world can give him great joy then to meet his Maker.
He is now using the the time to repent and be close to his maker at the right time.
This man is surely good in time management.
There is a time for everything. A time to sow and a time to reap.
We cannot just be sowing discord or goodtiding with reaping what we have sown.
People, please take time to take stock of what you have sowed and be prepared for the harvest the same type in many folds back to you be good or bad in many folds. Some 10, some 30 and some a hundred.

What is the most disturbing ‘Hard Truths’?
Did the interviewers ask MM Lee what was the most disturbing ‘Hard Truths’ that, if he could turn back the clock, he would not have hesitated to have it fixed?
It must be the one-man-one-vote democratic voting system.
The Chinese communist system allows only the card-carrying cadres vote in the government.
I believe MM probably would have preferred to allow only property owners, landed and not landed property owners,to vote in red dot. It will mean less chance of a ‘freak’ result at the GE.

The main purpose with the Illuminati is to create a One World Government and with them in charge over mankind. To be able to control the population, they need to reduce us from a world population of 6 billion to approximately 500 million. This is done by creating conflicts, wars, inventing diseases and viruses and now as of recent, orchestrating a War on Terror and a financial meltdown (2008). But old fart’s son did the otherwise by increasing the population. His son will go down with cancer soon.
Old fart already sold his soul to the demonic Illuminati and in exchange he has power and money. The only catch in the contract is that by using all his negative energy towards the rest of us, which is required from him, old fart has to face the consequences eventually; it’s just how the laws of the universe work. He finally creates his own Hell.

The hard truth is also that there are other loyal and patriotic Singapore citizens who hold different view points of what would make Singapore thrives as a nation of the future. And the hard truth is why did not the PAP allow these people to freely expressed themselves openly and engage the population in an open debate?? Another hard truth is the danger of relying on a one-man wisdom.

The very basis is simple, Papies , made the elites and the cronies and their children, and the Sinkaporeans all educated derilics, besides the majority, whom we are.
That was their biggest mistake, forgetting, “a hungry man is an angry man”.
OUR VOTES ALWAYS DECIDE THEIR FATE, AS WE ARE MAJORITY, NOT THE ELITES OR SINKAPOREANS!

Something ST Editors were afraid to ask MM.
What happened..then ,Sir?
“If we say that we believe in democracy, if we say that the fabric of a democratic society is one which allows for the free play of idea…then, in the name of all the gods, give that free play a chance to work within the constitutional framework.”
- Opposition leader Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore Legislative Assembly, 1956

@ THE NEXT RULER OF SINGAPORE
• Heard him over the radio this morning, when he was giving a speech when accepting some Rotten Idiot (RI) award. He was slurring so badly. His time is coming up very soon!
You must understand it is not him that was speaking; it was the illuminati demonic spirit inside his body that does the speech. Because of his weak physical condition, it becomes more pronounce. Next time you visit a medium on trance, whereby a ghost deity’s astral body has entered the medium body. The speech is the same.
I’m very sure his time is not due yet. He has to see with his own eye the PAP he built collapsed before he is allowed to go off. That’s the reward he’ll get from Lucifer.

The Hardest “Hard-Truths” for Lee Kuan Yew IS for him to stop thinking that he and “only he” knows everything and that his ministers also know and can do the best for Singapore. He can’t be furthest from the real truth.
Because WE SINGAPOREANS and NOT he alone inherited Singapore with adeep harbour great as a Shipping Port from The British Colonialist! And IT WAs Sir Stamford Raffles WHO HAD THE VISION of our God given harbour. And also Singapore’s strategic location which help to cut shipping through the equally and sufficiently deep Straits of Malacca for trade between East and West!!!
And so IT WAS Sir Stamford Raffles who IS the real “Father of Singapore” and no one before or after him is!!!
If he disagrees, pray let him compare our “National Health Care” System to the following and then tell his Health Minister so. As Woody Goh had said two things…
1. “He is probably the best health minister you ever had”!
Q1. Point is we agree that he is the best we ever had. But we can have the best and Mr. Khaw BW ISN’T the best as the best can still be replaced by someone even better!
Q2. Why “you” and not WE?
Q3. Isn’t this typical LKY in PAP snob!
2. “When the going get tough, the tough gets going”!
Q1. Is explaining things away by laying blame on something else when it is LKY in PAP that IS WRONG and Singaporeans, etc DON KNOW IT TOO?
Q2. So, what does LKY-PAP after 51 years stand for and reveal?
Q3. That NONE below LKY is good enough for Singapore?
Q4. And so by Q3 LKY become the default greatest leader of all times? Let remember again THAT Singapore
- IS ONLY 1/33 of Johor State,
- with only a 581 feet highest Bukit Timah Hill,
- has natural deep harbour in…
- a strategic location that make Singapore great for shorter shipping route between east and west.
And thus without the above advantages and foundation left behind by the British, can Lee Kuan Yew really built up Singapore’s material sturcture to what is is today?
And as for HEART, he and his PAP still has a long long way to go compared to Dr Devi Shetty! And SERIOUSLY so going by his and pappyism bragging…
BBC World Service – The Interview

• Dr Devi Shetty 14Jan11
Fri, 14 Jan 11
Duration:
27 mins
Devi Shetty is a top Indian heart surgeon with a big idea. He believes specialist healthcare should be available to the very poor of India just as much as the rich. Ten years ago he founded a hospital in Bangalore in southern India which charges people according to what they can afford. The rich go for the very best surgery. The poor go there because they can. Carrie Gracie asks him whether his model can really overturn healthcare provision.

Did the SPH journalists work out how much was the total cost to the govt and to MM Lee for conducting the 16 interviews of more than 32 hours at MM Lee’s office?
Selling the book at $40 each, how much profit will go to SPH or to the SPH’s journalists?
How much will go to which public charities?

‘Singapore’s World Press Freedom Index ranking has dropped to a new low from the previous year’s 133rd to 136th, according to the latest figures released by Reporters Without Borders. Singapore’s ranking by Freedom House remains at 151 out of 196 assessed, according to the “Freedom of the Press 2010 Global Rankings” report.’
What do you get from the Sycophant Prostitute Harlot place whose team has got such press freedom ranking for ST which is even below Iraq, Zimbabwe and Guinea. I would rather put my money for a worthy cause than to “massage his ego”.
Maybe someone should attempt to write an expose on “LKY : Hard thrusts to keep SG groaning.” Remember what he said that we are “daft”, “our spurs are not stuck in our hides, “hifalutin”, etc, etc.

The Book will not be laku(saleable) in Singapore.
As far as Singaporeans are concerned, Lee Kuan Yew and his truth or tale are all kaput.

Hard truth: In the interview between HIM & the 7 drawfs when responsing to probing on whether Singapore could afford to be more generous in its welfare policy he said “For 50 years, I’ve tried to pilot my way through. Did it succeed?
He and gang came into power in 1959. 1959+50=year 2009! That means HE PILOTS (CONTROL) ALL THE WAY FROM 1959 TO 2009 & maybe till to date. In between when he handed over the premiership to GCT (now it looks like he was only a tua pek gong)from 1990 to 2004 who then passed the baton to LHL (similarly also acted like a tua pek gong N0. 2). Looks like the whole lots of HIS $million ministers are just passengers, messengers, sitting bulls, etc…

Did the SPH journalists ask MM Lee what were the key concerns in each of the five decades since red dot’s independence in 1965 to 2005?
What were the concerns, why they were considered as concerns to him and his Cabinet, what did they do to fix it, and could he have done better to fix it?
Did they ask him what will be the key concerns in the next five decades from 2015 to 2055?
Why are they considered key concerns, and what need to be done to fix these concerns?

How to be more generous on welfarism policy?
Did the SPH’s journalists ask him how to become fairer than fair in red dot’s policy on welfarism?
What is MM’s concerns on becoming more generous, and what is holding him back from becoming a bit more generous, and what is considered as overly generous to Singaporeans?

So excited for this book! Without him, singapore might still be a 3rd world or 2nd world country. He’s a wise man, singaporeans just love complaning too much about every single thing. They haven’t see how government from other countries are like. When foreigners come to singapore, they say their government won’t even entertain small complains about ‘volunteer’s food, lift break down or anything’. It won’t even be published in newspapers. People would laugh if there are complaints about such things. I doubt those opposition can do a better job in governing singapore. Long Live MM Lee!!!
