Can PAP Malay MPs please explain what progress they have made in Malay youths’ education?

In a recent seminar organized to enhance engagement with youths, where several hundred participants comprising representatives from voluntary welfare organizations attended, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, said that “more preventive and upstream measures are needed to help Malay youths at risk of dropping out of school prematurely or those facing difficulties in school or at home.

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/1109867/1/.html

My question is, in this current term in office since 2006, what have the Malay MPs done to improve the situation of at risk Malay youths? As we can all see they have slacked and have delivered hardly any decent needed progress on this issue. In fact, one cannot recollect of any major measure that they had implemented. Minister Yaacob still insist on claiming that “progress has been made by Malay youths in education” while the gaps between Malay youths and other ethnic groups remain alarmingly wide. In fact there is also no indication of any cosmetic improvement in the educational outcomes of Malay youths.

What is shocking is that since 2006, a total of around $50 million have been spent on the PAP Malay MPs salaries. But what has the Malay community got in return in the key issue of Malay youths education?

Firstly the PAP Malay MPs should stop pushing the responsibility to the community to resolve the education issues. Secondly the PAP Education minister and top PAP leaders need to stop pushing the responsibility to the PAP Malay MPs to take charge of Malay community issues, since they have failed at it and since they themselves are pushing that responsibility to the community.

Even at the seminar, Minister Dr.Yaacob Ibrahim is only making calls for more measures. Even though the timing is clearly before the election, he obviously has not even been shrewd to put anything on the table for the Malay community. Nevertheless coming up with measures at this moment after wasting 5 years in parliament simply is too late and too little.

Contrary to Singaporeans’ claims that only PAP MPs can do better a job in government, this does not seem to support such wild claims. In fact if Singaporeans are right that there are no politicians other than those in PAP who can do a better job, then going by the efficiency and effectiveness of these Malay MPs clearly indicate Singapore is in serious trouble.

    Dear Zahara,

As much as I am unhappy with the Malays joining the oppressive PAP regime and some of these people I know from varsity days…I think that they do not have a chance trying to do anything much to raise the concerns you have and to work a concrete programme of action for whatever may be the social problems faced by the Malays. This is because there is no formal policy in the PAP on issue of minority communities. They stay in PAP cos its a good paying job and anyway were they voted to represent Malay issues? They represent all Singaporeans they will say to your face.

Reading internet news from afar, I see that the younger Singapore Malays themselves think that they dont need any help because they believed that the PAP meritocracy plan has worked for them and there is no discrimination at all. I read the AMP karyawan occasionally and other stuff. And I guess if the Malays are not doing well, its their own bloody fault for being lazy? Or why cant the Malays get organised on their own to fix their problems? In which case I dont know where you are coming from.

Perhaps the opposition has to work a real minority report. And minorities need not be limited to ethnic groups. The elderly is a significant minority as are single mothers. And perhaps all young Singaporeans who are not doing well in school?

argee with you, But you forget to talk about the history.

The National Pledge was written by Sinnathamby Rajaratnam in 1966 shortly after Singapore’s independence. Rajaratnam revealed that the dream was to build “a Singapore we are proud of”. He believed that language, race and religion were divisive factors, but the Pledge emphasises that these differences can be overcome if Singaporeans cared enough about their country. The draft text was handed to the then Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, who polished the text before submitting it to the Cabinet.

    the original pleagde

    Kami, warganegara Singapura,
    sebagai rakyat yang bersatu padu,
tidak kira apa bangsa, bahasa, atau agama,
berikrar untuk membina suatu masyarakat yang berdemokratik,
    berdasarkan kepada keadilan dan persamaan
    untuk mencapai kebahagiaan,
kemakmuran dan kemajuan bagi negara kami

I don’t admit to know the merits of Malay-style children upbringing, but I’m sure not all mothers–Malay or not–need to be tiger mums. The fundamental problem still lies with the elitist, streaming-oriented grade-driven education system. With the China Chinese students overtaking our local standards, there’s simply “no fight” to talk about anymore. Our children must be exposed to a personal belief that they can be excellent in their own ways and with their own talents.

No Malay MP has the guts to confront old fart and sort out Malay issues. They all cari makan including all the Malay journalists, most famous of whom is the no bola, bola licking, sickening wak kentot in BH. Mention his name and all Malays vomit straightaway. He thought people admire him. Most of them also serve as informers. They get allowance mah, a few dollars can buy them. No pay how to bring family for ego oversea trips every year mah and come back to show photos to relatives. Style mahu jual bangsa tak pa. There will be a special place for them in the next dimension. Old fart knows this and he is grinning from to ear to ear for fifty years. Now old fart still makes fun of us.
Nobody dares to demand for at least a
scholarship quota for better Malay students. This will uplift the spirit and dignity of the community in the long run. This is positive social engineering. Based on meritrocracy so far how many Malays and Indians qualify for scholarships? Tell us?
Billions are lost indulging in the crook-filled American financial casinos/circus by our easily conned caretakers. No loose change to send some minority sons and daughters to prestigious universities all these years kah? Some sadists are holding back and not extending a helping hand to minorities.

Wow so many malays ahh… I am afraid these names you have mentioned will lend credence to the racial stereotyping of Malays as “only good for sports and entertainers”.

Zahara has a point that perhaps Malays should have wider options and I am afraid not all of us Malays have such natural talent as Anita or M Nasir or even Chef Wan (you missed that huh?).

At some point in the African American history — that’s what blacks are apparently good for-sports and entertainers.. Now they have Barak Obama and the great Ms Oprah Winfrey among the leadership of the community.

Its equal treatment, equal opportunities, equal outcomes. How many if us have that?

  • JUST AN AVERAGE CHINESE SINGAPOREAN:

Actually hor the fact of the matter is..
Compared to chinese/indian/peranakan/eurasian/chindian singaporeans, the malays have actually done very well!
We should feel happy for their achievements!

All the above races I’ve stated are all immigrants or descendants of them at one point either from malaysia, europe, china or india.
They all came to singapore with the immigrant mentality.
Naturally they’ll know how they want to get there and work hard to have a slice of the singapore dream.

The malays being the native singaporeans might have lagged behind, but anyone of you who knows malay colleagues will tell you that now their mindset is nearly like us now.
A malay supervisor colleague was telling me how his kids was preparing to go work and probably get a citizenship in australia and how they are investing in houses in malaysia and indonesia.

Don’t you all feel happy for them? They have adopted our mindsets and now slowly but surely they are getting more financially well off!
It has nothing to do with race but the culture!
They might face issues compared to their brethren in malaysia/indonesia, they are doing very well!

WHY DOES LKY KEEP CONDEMNING AND DEMONIZING THEM INSTEAD OF CELEBRATING THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS? SO THAT THE REST OF YOU WILL BE BRAINWASHED TO SEE THEM AS A PROBLEM!
THE BLAME LIES WITH LKY+FT+PAP CRONIES+MALAYSIAN CHINESE+BRAINWASHED RACIST CHINESE SINGAPOREANS!

IN LKY’S SICK SADISTIC MIND, IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW MUCH PROGRESS THEY MADE! HE JUST WANTS THEM TO END UP LIKE AFRICAN AMERICANS OR AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINES!

Don’t let the election of Barack Obama fool you! African americans in the states are losing all their jobs left right & centre to hispanic and asian immigrants! At least the native americans fought hard and died fighting! But many african americans don’t know that their country wanna ethnically cleanse them! Many of them still think obama is taking care of them!

The australian aborigines are even worse off..Their ghettos are not made for human living!

“The world is a dangerous place to live in; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.”

So lucky my Malay girlfriend can make it into NUS. However, she told me that there are still handful of Malay drop out of school. What I am thinking now is that whether PAP only focus on Chinese youth?!?! I still spot Chinese youth drop out, so is Indian youth. Malay students used to have free education. Now? Ever since LHL became the nation’s “strongman”, they have to pay. How would they be able to take them to school when education fee is so “sky rocket” high? Anyway, not only Malays, every Singaporeans are fed up with this education fees. PAP only know how to get money from us! Do we learn any real things in school? Get the PAP out if you wish for free education.

The way I see it, the real progress lies with the very few Malay MPs who have joined a very exclusive group of elites made only possible at the mercy of our PAP leaders while the rest of the Malays peasants have to make do with the limited scope of jobs available to them such as lorry drivers, delivery men, despatch riders, low-level data entry clerks, receptionists, etc. And for these kind of jobs they had to compete with the foreign workers.

And when they do come across the odd example of a Malay success story, the Shit Times & Berita Harian will not hesitate to splash the news for maximum publicity. I suppose this is the real facts of life for the plight of the majority Malays in Singapore.

Puzzling. If 1) progress in education is the issue in contention and 2)(almost) all students attend national schools; why ask the Malay MPs for the lack of general progress of Malay Students in education? Is it because the subject in question are seen by the author and all those who are supporting the view as MALAY Students instead of Singaporean Students?

As far as I remember, without fail, in the top 10 if not top 3 of every major exams (PSLE, N, O, A), there are Malay students in the line. Perhaps, a question to ask (amongst many more) is What went right in neighbourhood schools like Coral primary where Malay students generally do well and what went wrong in some other schools where Malay students do not perform just as well?

Students are students regardless their ethnicities and cultural background. Singaporeans are Singaporeans regardless their ethnicity and cultural background when it comes to general issues of livelihood such as education, quality of life, employment, opportunities, safety etc. These are aspects of life that every individual would want some security. In the absence of clear assurance for security, the litllest effort made is purely for survival sustenance.

My sense is that in the absence of capacity of some teachers in some schools to acknowledge that there is a need for pedagogical differentiation when teaching students from different SES groups (p.s. even for the ‘elite’ of high $ worth stdents, there are the Chinese based SAP schools and Autonomous schools), minority communties will not want just pray and tell but will actually want to do something about it. This is where the littlest efforts by Malay organisations to encourage Malay students to do well despite the lack of security of pedagogical effectiveness in schools (if this is not necessary, ask why are foreign national students given incredible support to help them with thier language skills and adapting in schools).

I doubt that even if alternative parties were to come to power, the situation will change given that prejudice is still the basis of judgement.

Let me be frank what the Malays want to make them feel happy:
    1. PM is Malay.
    2. Important ministries are under a Malay minister.
    3. Pork is not allowed to be seen at places where Malays’ around. Or
if allowed at the corners just like in Malaysia and other Islamic
    countries.
    4. Churches and temples are limited and controlled.
    5. Quota system in all aspect of life where Malay at least must
    occupied 50% of the capacity.
    6. Mouques can use loud speakers producing prayers until JB can
    hear.
    7. No migrants from PRC or other countries who look like Chinese.
    8. Illegal muslim immigrants from Indonesia be allowed just like
Malaysia because all muslim are bros and sis.

LKY knows above very very well just he cannot speak it out in detail and mentions the word Malay.

He has urged true blue S’poreans Chi to have more babies but failed. On the other hand, the Malays are having so many children and they can become majority in less than few decades.

Many of them married at very young age then easily broke up and very easily meet another divorcee to set up new set of family with new set of children.

So what choice he has ?

The seeds of the revolt were planted around the time of the uprising in Tunisia, when Walid Rachid, 27, a liaison from an online group called the April 6 Movement, sent a note to the anonymous administrator of an anti-torture Facebook page asking for “marketing help” with a day of protest on Jan. 25, Mr. Rachid recalled. He wondered why the administrator would communicate only by Google instant message. In fact, it was someone he already knew: Mr. Ghonim, the Google executive.

They divided up into two teams — one coaxing people in cafes to join them, the other chanting to the tenements above. Instead of talking about democracy, Mr. Lotfi said, they focused on more immediate issues like the minimum wage. “They are eating pigeon and chicken and we are eating beans all the time,” they chanted. “Oh my, 10 pounds can only buy us cucumbers now, what a shame what a shame.”

Ms. Moore said: “Our group started when we were 50. When we left the neighborhood we were thousands.” As the protests broke up that day, she said, she saw a man shot to death by the police. She carried her medical bag to the next demonstration and set up a first-aid center.

By the time they occupied Tahrir Square, she and her friends had enlisted the Arab Doctors Union — many of whose members are also members of the Muslim Brotherhood — which set up a network of seven clinics.

When he called the information in to the group at Mr. Elaimy’s house, they drew up a detailed plan for protesters to gather at specified mosques, then march toward main arteries that led to Tahrir Square.

They even told Mr. ElBaradei which mosque to attend.

Then they informed the press where he would be, and pictures of a Nobel laureate drenched by water cannons flashed around the world.

In signs of a generation gap echoed across Egypt, the young people acknowledged some frustration with their elders in the opposition parties. “Simply, they are part of the system, part of the regime,” Mr. Lotfi said. “Mubarak was able to tame them.”

The organizers disseminated a weekly schedule, with the biggest protests set for Tuesday and Friday, to conserve their energy. And before each protest they leaked a new false lead to throw off the police, letting out that they would march on the state television headquarters, for example, when their real goal was to surround Parliament.

They formed a coalition to represent the youth revolt, with Mr. Ghonim on their executive committee. When the government began inviting them to meetings, they held a vote in Tahrir Square to decide. About a half-dozen representatives of youth groups participated, one person said, and they voted against negotiating by about 70 percent.

Most of the group are liberals or leftists, and all, including the Brotherhood members among them, say they aspire to a Western-style constitutional democracy where civic institutions are stronger than individuals.

But they also acknowledge deep divides, especially over the role of Islam in public life. Mr. Lotfi points to pluralistic Turkey. On the question of alcohol — forbidden by Islam — he suggested that drinking was a private matter but that perhaps it should be forbidden in public.

Asked if he could imagine an Egyptian president who was a Christian woman, he paused. “If it is a government of institutions,” he said, “I don’t care if the president is a monkey.”

Why is it the “Malay MP’s” responsibility to improve Malay students’ education? It would be the Minister of Education’s mandate, for ALL students, regardless of race.
Were the MPs voted in (if they WERE voted in)just to oversee only Malay-related issues? We are not divided along racial lines, and should not be so. It would be like saying what has Michael Palmer done to improve “Eurasian” students education.

MPs and Ministers should be judged by their portfolios, regardless of what race they are.

I think the purpose of the Malay MP’s is to act as a scape goat for the failures of the ministry of education. The govt and the PM never takes resonsibility for failures. If Malays have a problem it is not the govt’s problem.

With institutionalised racism, it stands to reason that education or the lack of education is one of the primary forces with which the govt can subjugate a whole race. This explans why the govt GLOATS over this problem rather than demand answers for this failure. It is in fact a successful strategy of the govt. Our education system must be seriously flawed, when u notice that most of the top students in Malaysia today are the Malays were as they cant perform in Singapore. It must mean that our education system is not up to par. Thats why all the top non civil service jobs go to foreigners.

The PAP has for many years distributed out the Malays and scattered them throughout Singapore.

The population of pets like dogs and cats in a particular constituency is more than the Malay population.

Hence it is very difficult for Malays to form an alternate political party in any constituency to protect their interest.

But majority of the Malays voted for PAP because they’re employed for lowly grade civil servant like postmen, policemen, firemen, even watermen for PUB, etc.

The Malay MPs with PAP are just figurehead for the Malays but stooges of Lee Kwan Yew.

What have the Malay MPs done to improve the life of the Malays?

The answer is nothing, only their life and bank account have improved drastically but not yours.

Better vote PAP out and be more proactive politically by joining the alternate parties to improve your life.

They represent all Singaporeans they will say to your face.

    well said.

well abang dan adek, form your own single or small party and contest in this coming election.
you never know you may be in parliament soon.
lky and pappies fear the malay votes.
    make them sh-t bricks.

i believe any malay if contesting alone in a single ward may even win that ward hands down.

the other races of singaporeans will get hammered down by the pap like the jbj’s and chee soon juan’s cases.

whereas with a malay opposition candidate with not too much muslim radicalism imbued in their call to their stand for freedom from oppression from the pap, other than the existing pkms, any move a malay makes, he may be watched like jufrie – who was hammered down for his allah akbar related claims – before, but the pap is always very wary of the indonesian and malaysian factor as they will all be watching singapore – dr, mahathir will be the first, et.al.

that is the real hard truth of singapore.

but this may never happen because the singapore malays have shown time and again, that they are easily contented because of their abilities to skirt around their malay dilemma in singapore and the pap heavy “subsidies” to subdue them absolutely.

notice further how most malays survive in singapore?

most spend their singapore-hard earned money in malaysia with some already setting up their homes in malaysia like most malaysian workers in singapore in case things go wrong in singapore like the racial riots before.

the minority singaporean malays are basically like the minority frenchmen in canada who are deep-seated in their religion and likewise suffers the most in canada.

they suffered so much under the english speaking canadians such that during the world war years they were placed in front-lines of the war ever ready to be shot down first by the enemies of canada then.

ever notice a canadian prime minister, whatever his race may be, besides the frenchmen being a minority in canada and the bi-lingualism laws in canada, must always speak french or hardly ever stand a chance to become a canadian prime minister?

a few people here asked “Why is it the “Malay MP’s” responsibility to improve Malay students’ education?”

    1) PAP Malay MPs claim they are leaders of Malay community. They together with PAP leaders claim that since Singapore Malays voted for PAP, they have by default chosen PAP Malay MPs as their leaders. If that is the case, then it is clearly their responsibility to oversee improvement in Malay students’ education.

    2) PAP Malay MPs claim that the Malay community has improved under their leadership. They claim Malays are getting higher grades than before. Well that actually means nothing since everyone is getting higher grades than before. That is a useless and invalid measure of whether Malay educational outcomes are improving. What is an appropriate measure is looking at the gap between Malay students’ performance and other ethnic groups. PM Lee claim one must not look at this measure. MM Lee just claimed this gap will never be closed. Now for sake of argument, lets assume its PAP Malay MPs who is responsible for Malay students getting higher grades today compared to past. Firstly where were you critics to stand up and ask them why is it their responsibility? Then you accepted that it was their responsibility. Now you deny they are not responsible for Malay students not performing as good as other ethnic students today just like how they were in the past.

    3) This is an absolute autocracy. PAP Malay MPs maintain tight control over the Malay community. They have made sure that nobody else can help the community except them and those agencies that have their support. So again it is PAP Malay MPs responsibility.

If that is the case, then it is clearly their responsibility to oversee improvement in Malay students’ education.2) PAP Malay MPs claim that the Malay community has improved under their leadership.

Malays have total power in Indonesia and Malaysia. Right?
What happened to the AVERAGE so-called Malay?
Why is the average Singapore Malay doing so much better than those in Indonesia or Malaysia? Whose credit? The 400k or so have a bigger talent pool than Malaysia or Indonesia or what. Be brains users.
Standard of living, per capita income, purchasing power, etc.
They are resource-rich and gained independence so much earlier than Singapore.

Even a Pr 1 child can see why HK, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore and China are doing so well. What’s the common factor?

China has 1 300 000 000 mopuths to feed. It turned around after 30 years from the civil war. It’s currently feeding the Americans as its No 1 creditor nation. China’s the 2nd largest economy on the planet and has thelargest foreign reserves on the planet. Singapore ONLY 700 sq km and no natural resources watsoever like HK. Taiwan land of computer chips like ACER and so on. Lots of wealthy people there.

So Sahara (doubt you’re a Malay btw) our minds mustn’t be a desert.

Even outsider like J Mallot can observe, think and come to conclusions. Otherwise one will forever become a parasite and be crushed by otehrs or nature like a cockroach.

In Indonesia they blame the Chinese. Started riots after riots. Finally invited some back to restart the economy. Today any difference? Go see Indonesia. Can forgive them. They are the real pribumis. Can be hungry also.

In Malaysia, blame the Chinese for their marginalisation and overprocreation.
    Now in Singapore, blame . . . .

China’s world largest population. Deep poverty when the Communists fought the Koumintangs and where opportunist Japan invaded followed by communism (kongsi ideology) that went flop. Today after 3 decades, without foreign help but Western sabotages, has STOOD up. That’s ‘Kekuatan Cina’ for the world to see. Not some kris waving May 13-type politicians across the causeway fighting for more and more handouts and privileges after more than 30 years of NEP opium.Check this out.

    @Bunny

You have forgotten to highlight one thing – The reason why Indonesia Pri Bumis are going hungry is because most of their Bapak President Chinese Bankers have stolen and ran away with their hard earned money and park them in the -you-know-where neighboring countries. EVEN THE AUNTY PROPERTY AGENTS ARE VERY MUCH AWARE WHERE THIS BLACK MONEY COME FROM. That is why PAP Govt will never ever want to sign extradition treaty with the Indonesia Govt

Most of the qualified, smart and hardworking Singapore Malays are very successful overseas holding the position of Bankers, Lecturers, General Managers in countries like Japan, Australia, US, UK, Middle East Countries. Most of them says it is better to be discriminated in a foreign country than in your own country. According to them, most of the good/ top jobs will be given to, if not Chinese themselves, to the Ang MOHs, whom LKY love dearly or to the Indians. And now that you have more F-Trashers the opportunities here are getting worse and bleak. The Malay MPs and the Malay Reporters (ST and BERITA HARIAN) are just wayang. Hell, whos going to give them that kind of pay by just keeping on highlighting that the Malays are in bad shape. Whether for the last 30 years or for the next 30 years, the opportunities for Malays here will remain the same if not worse. Those true blue Singapore Malays who open their eyes wide will not deceive themselves nor their future generations about the real opportunities here.. It does not matter whether these future Malays have parents who are Graduate themselves or come from schools like RI /RGS etc. Maybe you guys should ask Yaacob Ibrahim about his elder brother who topped his class in one of the IVY LEAGUE university who have decided to remain in USA. Was told he got disappointed with Singapore when he did not get the top post in one of the GLCs in Singapore.

I agree with you that its a blame game people like to play when things go wrong. I agree that people have to stand up for themselves in times of crisis becasue if we don’t we will never grow muscles. This may sound blunt, but Malay students have to work hard if they want to succeed. This goes for other singaporeans of other racial groups. Its an inevitable fact that FTs are here. We have to be better than them in order to win them. Study harder, work harder, push harder.

If anyone disagrees go ahead thumb me down.

With that being said, I want a government that puts the interests of the people first. No point asking for more social integration if we are not treated with respect. A respectful policy would be to gradually slow down the number of PRs in Singapore, such that singaporeans can have breathing space. No amount of upgrading or re training is enough when there is someone that is cheaper than you. Our older workforce will end up unretired and unemployed.

I hope the new government takes this into consideration.

It doesn’t matter anyway as PAP is replacing the Malays with Pinoys and Indians. Malays will soon be the smallest minority in Singapore.

Sooner or later have to share Suria channel with Pinoy programs and Tagalog will replace Bahasa as one of the official languages of Singapore.

Drowned long ago: No Malay MP has the guts to confront old fart and sort out Malay issues. They all cari makan including all the Malay journalists, most famous of whom is the no bola, bola licking, sickening wak kentot in BH.Mention his name and all Malays vomit straightaway. Oldfart knows this and he is grinning from to ear to ear for fifty years.
Malay MPs,forget it. To the community they are
    non- existent. Ask around.

Hi, I’m NOT a Malay and will refrain from commenting about your ’scholarship for Malays’ issue.
Just want to say that Singaporeans have placed too much trust in allowing the PAP to hyper-inflate their GRC gerrymandering and oppression scheme that stifles all minority group interest. A minimum of 1 of 3 MPs= minority in GE1988, but since GE2001, only one in 5.4GRC MPs need be a minority [chart link]. Political hegemony is the reason why the PAP shrank minority representation in GRCs whilst hyper-inflating the size of each GRC.
The real use of the GRC system of elections?- that of making it easy for PAP to ‘buy’ talent:
    - ‘GRCs make it easier to find top talent: SM’: “Without some
assurance of a good chance of winning at least their first election,
many able and successful young Singaporeans may not risk their
careers to join politics” ; with hosting site footnote: “In
Singapore, a Group Representation Constituency is a super-sized
constituency where 5 or 6 candidates from the same party have to stand
for election as a team. Voters vote for the party, not for
individuals, thus weak candidates can still win a seat in Parliament
by riding the coattails of stronger candidates.”
    - [ST 26June2006]
So really, Malay MPs like any other typical coat-tail PAP MP- are just spineless puppets out to have a good time [link] due to their misplaced sense of integrity.
According to ‘Singapore lifts whip on orchestrated parliament’[AFP
21Mar2002]: “The free vote is given to them when they make a
request, and the Whip will consider. In the past it was simply: ‘No
you can’t even request’,’ he said.”
Thus but for for the spineless soulless puppets and the obscene material perks [link] that these worshipers of the PAP and its mammon god seek, Singapore would be better placed returning the GRC system to its roots of no fewer than 1 in 3 members in a GRC being a minority and like was the case before the hyper-inflated GRCs, that at least 40 seats in parliament be contested as single seat constituencies with no dilution of Minority representation from current standards.
Scholarships or none, Minority races/ groups and their respective interested have been hoodwinked by the PAP and its army of mammon [link] worshipers into the support and creation of no more than a farcical pantomime of a nation-state.
