Goh Joke Tong – everyone hates him
In just one week, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong has singlehandedly made a joke of his office. After playing that now-infamous prank on his Facebook about Tin Pei Ling, the very next day he ridiculed farmers. And now, two very senior ministers have distanced themselves from his remarks about ministers in future having to serve shorter terms.
Indeed, the man is becoming a joke.
The latest to disagree with his views is no other than the man at the very top – PM Lee himself.
“Mr Lee said he also disagrees with Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong’s recent opinion that future ministers may end up serving only two terms. Mr Lee said that is not possible because of the lack of numbers.” (Channel NewsAsia)
Yesterday, it was Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng who distanced himself from the joker’s comments and said: “That is SM’s opinion…”
The man is famous for gaffes like these. There are too many to list down here. But as the General Election is around the corner, it reminds me of one of the biggest boo boo the man made – that of first enticing and then threatening the voters of Hougang and Potong Pasir.
SM Goh had been tasked with a “special mission” by Lee Hsien Loong in the 2006 GE to win back the two wards. But what happened in the end?
Chiam See Tong’s percentage of votes increased instead and he won Potong Pasir.
Low Thia Khiang’s vote share shot up so high it was a personal record best – at 62-plus per cent!
And all thanks to Goh Chok Tong.
So, seems everyone has a reason to hate him:
- Sitoh Yih Pin – losing PAP candidate in Potong Pasir
- Eric Low – losing PAP candidate in Hougang
- Tin Pei Ling – the target of Goh’s practical joke
- Wong Kan Seng
- Lee Hsien Loong
And farmers, of course.
But no matter what, in Singapore, gaffes by PAP ministers go unpunished. SM Goh will continue to receive his lifetime pension (of millions) and his annual S$3.4 million salary.
So you see, the joker has the last laugh.
The joke, really, is on us, the taxpayers.

He is a shrewd talented and world highest paid joker.
He says that all ministers will serve only 2 terms. Guess who he suggested as potentally exempted from this ruling: the father, the son and the holey go.
First they go for the Sinkies, next the elite “Yes Minister” sinkies.
So current PAP ministers and ball carriers:
Beware you r not safe u will be retired next.
So hide our tax-derived millions salary now.
Because united Sinkies is going to hold every cent that u take from us to account after u r history.
Only for the 3Ms, is the term “retirement” history.

Just a conspiracy theory…
Goh has been under Lee family shadow and abuse for so long that he buay tahan anymore. However being a prominent politician, there is no turning back (like gu huo zhai). But at his current age, he really dont care much for himself…but he is being held hostage. If he ever openly defy PAP, his family and relatives may be in deep deep deep deep trouble, to the extend of all 9-types of relatives.
Therefore what he can do is to only drop subtle hints here and there to create public anger against PAP. example
1. TPL seeing trauma specialist. of coz the trick is to say first and then protect/correct himself with “tongue-in-cheek”.
2. Make a lousy suggestion that Sitoh could have been ushered into Parliament via GRC system if he wants to. of coz again the trick is to say first and then protect/correct himself with “Sitoh’s own voluntary stay in potong pasir”.
Lets see if there are more hints from Goh…

Its about time that the voters in Singapore retires all their old men of politics. There is no reason to hang on to these old timers as they seem to be out of touch .They are sticking to their old ways which is out of tune to with the modern generations. Its a total waste of tax payers money to continue to pay millions of dollars just to upkeep them and also increasing their number of helpers as they are not fully functional mentally to run their electoral affairs.
I would suggest that the prime minister should not hold more than 2 terms in office just like the president of the USA. This allows for renewal and a new direction for the country .If left unchecked, they will not let go of power instead will pass on to their children and relatives, friends etc. as it can be seen in these dictatorial regimes like Egypt, Libya, Saudi Arabia etc. including Singapore.

I noticed that LHL today is stating that a two party system is not possible in Singapore. He is incorrect. He states the reason is that there is not enough talent for two parties. Given his issues with the lack of talent in the PAP he may think that there is a limited supply of talent – however I’d argue he is incorrect. The good talent simply don’t want to go to the PAP – regardless of the inducements – but are attracted by the idea of forming a government that is a two party government that allows the two parties to balance and check each other. I truly doubt that GCT would have survived as long as he had in a true democracy.

Regrettably, it was Mentor LKY’s “woody remarks about Goh” that laid the foundation for Singaporeans to dislike Goh, as LKY wished that the favors be reserved for LHL – just about the time when Goh took over the PM’s seat, and LHL entered politcs.
If Singaporeans should “hate” GCT, it was his own fault for dubiously attempting to transplant a ‘SWISS STANDARD OF LIVING’ – even if based on some earlier referenced date enjoyed by the Swiss – onto Singaporeans.
Regrettable, by the end of GCT’s term as PM of Singapore, he left Singaporeans with only the ‘SWISS COST OF LIVING’ with NOTHING to show that can be said to be anything close to the ‘SWISS STANDARD OF LIVING’

Even the two-terms MPs must NOT be a given. Two-terms means they rip off this country for a listening fee of $2,000,000 on career sabbtatical plus a life-long pension to boot when all they could and would do is parrot ceaselessly all those politically-correct fartings.
We want and deserve better legislators in Government – whichever political party/parties win Government.

From CNA – “Mr Lee said that assembling an outstanding team is not an easy task because in every election, his ruling People’s Action Party (PAP) finds only three new MPs, on average, who can become Ministers.
He is confident he has put together an “A team”, but he said he cannot assemble a second team and questioned how the opposition can find it easier to do so. Mr Lee said a two-party system is not workable in Singapore because there is simply not enough talent to form two “A teams”.”
PAP only managed to talk to 600 people out of 3 million true blue born and bred Singaporeans and LHL said, “there is simply not enough talent to form two “A teams”.
If you take just 1% (cream of our crops) of our own true blue born and bred adult Singaporeans, we would have 10,000 (1% of 1 Million) people to choose from to form at least another 10 “A teams”. No wonder the current “B Team” in parliament can only find Ms Tin Pei Ling type of candidate.
I hope it’s a “tongue-in-cheek” comment by my PM. Otherwise it’s scary to trust the current “B Team” to take Singapore forward.

Sad to say it’s because of selfish Singaporeans who vote this regime by giving them their so-called “Strong Mandate” which lead us all those who don’t vote them into this kind of situation where there is not much oppositions and no chance of rejecting their policies which affect our daily lifes (example: importing so many foreigners to jam our MRT/hospitals/bus and shopping mall and fight with us for jobs and schooling and scholarships give to them for free and laugh at us for stupid when they run off after the scholarship is used; etc).
Sad … really sad because too many idiots and kiasi Singaporeans who only think of themselves and their children or their relatives children shall suffer too… it’s a retribution of having vote this regime and let them collect millions to made joke of us taxpayers too !!!!!!!

I used to think better of him in the 80s or early 90s. But how he has fallen! Does PAP realise that he is quite a liability to the party now having said countless things he has said in recent years. Just yesterday, PM has to say he disagree with GCT on GCT’s comments of ministers serving 2 terms. Before that, GCT upset a lot of people censoring his own facebook page. GCT is an excellent case study of how politicians should retire at a reasonable age before they get too muddle headed for the good of themselves as well as their electorate. PM should have sent him for a vacation next few weeks as MM is doing now. I think so far PM is less busy fixing opposition candidates (who have been exemplary in their demeanour and speeches)than fixing his own party’s candidates’ booboos and loose. cannonballs. I really hope that an opposition party will send a good team to fight in Marine Parade. Actually, this is the best time for them to do so in many many years.

Whether the minister will serve for max 2 years in the cabinet or ? is better to leave it to PM to decide and not to give you opion in the public otherwise you will not be MM as Mr Lee say there will be only one MM – LKY the father of Singapore.

Why Singapore economy projected so well but Citizen still feel life is tougher. Something must went wrong with PAP. Was its due to the Over S$100,000,000,000 loses in GIC & TH during the recent financial crisis? Over S$100B debt, has PAP managed to settle? if not, how was the progress and how long will it take? This is the most critical issue and need immediate attention, if not, talk any further also no use.
Is Government out of touch of money? Thus, need to increase everything and bring in so many foreigners to generate lotsa of money to settle the debts? If this is the root cause of the problem and the government keep in silence, trying under the table digging here and there for monies, Singapore is in great trouble.
No Talents will be able to solve problem under the table. The PAP talented MPs also need problem to be undisclosed in prior to solution. So let enough Opposition MPs, the only one has the right to check and unveil any hidden problem that drag onto our progress. Highlight in parliament and press for prompt settlement.

At least he still have some consciences to propose minister should not serve more than 2 terms, but someone is quick to turn him down that its not possible, that means the minister can stay as long as the boss find him useful or until the minister himself earned enough to retire.
Some sympathies for Goh, the moment he acts kind genuinely for the people or acts against the interest of the boss, that’s the end of his political career or he may share the same fate as OTC.
If he is really a people’s PM and he can’t live on like this with a mask to camouflage his conscience, either quit and disconnect (don’t think the boss allows that) or stay healthy until the stumbling block is removed by God then restore things to what they should be for the people. Otherwise perish together with the rotten party.

There are two camps in PAP : Lee family and GCT.
A split is not unlikely after the passing of LKY. A repetition of what happened in 1961 with the formation of Barisan Socialist is probable.
A two-term of office for PM and Ministers proposal is worth ponder about it, considering the high salary package of our system.
The other consideration is the likelihood of empire (or dynasty) building if there is no check and balance.

A lost in Marine Parade will be great dent for LHL and PAP. GCT couldn’t care less if PAP loses in the coming election. His contingency plan is to leave politics and migrate.
PAP is not all that united as we see and hear. There are disagreements and partially formed splinter groups. The reason is many do not like LHL character. They put up a united front as election is looming.
Once the old fart kaputs, PAP will, God promised, implode beyong recognition. The machine for self-destruction has been well greased and just waiting for someone to turn-on the switch.

IN ASSERTING HIUS CLAIM THAT A TWO PARTY SYSTEM IS NOT POSSIBLE IN SINGAPORE, LHL MADE A BIG ASSUMPTION THAT ONLY HE AND HIS PARTY CAN LOCATE, IDENTIFY AND GROOM “TALENT” into the highest political office.
I believe he is AMPLY WRONG – the ABUNDANCE OF OVERWHELMING COMPELLING evidences in pyschology and contemporary events of corporate collapses shown in the GFC proved that this ASSUMPTION IS COMPLETELY FALLACIOUS.

I am curious, when LKY stepped down as the PM, the title SM was created because he didn’t want to retire. Then when GCT stepped down as PM, he resumes the title of SM and LKY “promoted” to MM. All these titles cost taxpayers so much money just because some people do not wished to retire.
Seriously, what are their roles? To be “mentors” to daft PAP newbies so that they can get into parliament unchallenged?
I foresee there will be titles like SMM (Senile Minister Mentor), SMU (Senior Minister Unchallenged), BUM (Best Unchallenged Minister), etc. in the future. When LKY tells the people not to think about retiring, he is actually telling his kakis that such titles will be created for them and they will still make big bucks.
Seriously, I am curious and I am worried.

Yes, I clearly heard what SM Goh Chok Tong said at a dialogue session and shown on TV too that ‘the future Ministers will not served for more than 2 TERMS and there is NO EXCEPTION for past Prime Minister too’.
Immediately PM Lee and Minister Wong Kan Seng expressed their disagreements with Goh’s comment and distanced themselves from it. Clearly the cat must have been led out of the basket. There have been disagreements between SM Goh and PM Lee when Goh was unable to fulfil his promises to give Singaporeans the standard of life that the Swiss has. His(Goh) visions were been blocked by PM Lee and his Cabinet supporters and had to endure the embarrassment queitly without showing discomfort. This time round when PM Lee picks Ms Tin(a controvesial candidate) to be Goh’s running mate at Marine Parade GRC, clearly a liability to SM Goh, which could spell the defeat of Goh in Marine Parade, much to the chagerine of PM Lee for having successfully ‘discarded’ a wooden thorn in his(Lee) eye.
The EXISTENCE of opposing camps within the PAP is now evidence and the cracks seems to be getting wider and become visible to all Singaporeans.
Its now time for the more ‘able and capable’ Opposition candidates to be voted into Parliament ‘not for the sake of opposing’ but to help tidy up the mess created by the PAP party, and in conducting checks and balances and also offering concrete criticism not ‘wayang show’ and to put forward pertinent proposals in discharging the duty of a Lawmaker.
I can see that the Opposition candidates have improved their lots in terms of intelligence, maturity, commitments, intergrity, caring and many other attributes of a quaified MP.

Goh Chok Tong sub-consciously may have grievances over himself serving 2 terms as PM. And was replaced half-way into his third term by Lee Hsien Loong due to nepotism. We must agree with GCT that the PM, DPM, SM, MM and cabinet minister should serve shorter terms.
The present prime minister office of Singapore is over crowded with the following:-
1] Prime Minister – Lee Hsien Loong
2] 1st DPM – Teo Chee Hean
3] 2nd DPM – Wong Kan Seng
4] SM1 – Goh Chok Tong
5] SM2 – Jayakumar
6] MM – Lee Kuan Yew
7] Lim Boon Heng – Minister in PMO1
8] Lim Swee Say – Minister in PMO2
9] Lim Hwee Hwa – Minister in PMO3
Any idiot looking at the PM office will only have 2 possible conclusions. First, the PM is incompetent and was put in the position due to nepotism. And that explain why he need so many assistant. Second, if the PM is competent than the rest of the personnel are purely parasites of the nation. These parasites are just a waste of space, waste of time and worst of all waste of public fund.

sorry typoo error
sorry mr author but i disagree tht GOH’s comment about ministers serving a MAXIMUM of two term is a joke.
WKS is an ardent bootlicker – die-die-must-lick loong – of PM lee and so,like a very average minstrel ‘who can’t sing’,he merely echoes.
many advanced countries and even lesser developed democracies have a two-term mandate.
it is good as it alos serves as a kind of ‘checks and balance’ and on top of that,it allows FRESH TALENTS – even form the OPPOSITION – to be injected for RENEWAL purposes.
let’s take the good ‘JOKES’ while discarding the crap jokes, will we please?

Look at radin mas , 4 to fight, all singaporean, by natures gready, infact all asians, the last time we had the highest oppositions, 4, they never make any impact, weather the arab jungle malays, communist chinese and the keling kiat all corrupted and selfish, by the way , I am keleing kiat.

We have achieved A Swiss Standard of Living! Imagine the standard of living a minister earning 3.4 million dollars a year can have. The top people in SIA,Temasek, the CEOs of big corporations. They all have achieved a Swiss standard of living. GCT has in fact succeeded. He did not say a Swiss Standard of Living for all. This is not possible. Thanks to the majority of voters in Singapore the “elites” are living in a paradise made possible by the way you voted. But they gave us all a small share. Singapore is a relativly comfortable place to live in accept that we have to struggle to maintain our life style. Keep struggling and create a Swiss Standard of Living for the minority elites. When will we learn? When the moon turns blue?

AND NOW, STILL NOT ENOUGH TALENTS IN A SPLIT PAP 2-PARTY SYSTEM;
SO WHERE ARE THE TALENTS?
SURELY, ALL THOSE GENERALS WHO CAN COMMAND AN ARMY, ARE TALENTS?
CAN RUN THE ARMY, BUT NOT THE COUNTRY? VERY INSULTING INDEED!
ALL OUR MPs IN PARLIAMENT MUST BE TALENTS…OR WHAT?

consider this scenario..
Suppose… election over PAPA wins 87 seats, next day voters life goes on.
and suppose, election over PAP win 44 seats, OPP wins 43 seats, next day voters, happy like siou, can try next election 2016 as independent candidate, try win 1 seat can become power broker like Australian election 2010. Wonderful, more exciting,,, because life already so hard, must as well have this kind of excitement.

Pls bear with him for the initial part, the second half of the video is more interesting.
After watching the clip, you will truly understand what is the meaning of freedom of speech.
Mr Gopalan is still a practising lawyer in California but the California State Bar will not penalise him or disbar him for his speech.

The following are some quotes cited by this JOKER or someone of this JOKER (tongue -in cheek)
“In 20, 30 years’ time, the whole of Singapore will be bustling away, and your estate, through your own choice, will be left behind. They become slums.”
- Former PM Goh Chok Tong’s warning to voters that wards which did not vote for PAP would be placed last in line for HDB upgrading, 1997 General Elections.

“You have expanded our political and economic space. Today you have indeed remade Singapore into a kinder, gentler and more consultative society.”- Prof Tommy Koh’s tribute to SM Goh Chok Tong, Straits Times, Jul 23, 2004
” I had to find ways to defuse the desire for more opposition.”- SM Goh Chok Tong on his role as Prime Minister, Straits Times, Nov 13, 2004
===================================================================
Up to the early 60’s, they were disciplined, conservative…Since then, both the US and Britain have seen a sharp rise in broken families, teenage mothers, illegitimate children, juvenile deliquency, violent crime … This is the result of me-first-and-society-last attitude to life. Because we uphold tried and tested traditional values and inculcate them in our young, we are a different society.”
- (Then) PM Goh Chok Tong, National Day Rally, 1994.
===================================================================
“A million dollars for a minister seems a lot when compared with the salary of a worker. But $34 million for all the ministers and political office-holders is a tiny drop when compared with the increase in GDP that a good government can produce…”
- PM Goh Chok Tong, Straits Times, July 1, 2000″
For a person who runs a million-dollar charitable organisation, $600,000 is peanuts as it has a few hundred million in reserves.”

This Joker does not cease to amuse and irritate at the same time. I think it is time to send to IMH as a permanent resident because his symptoms of insanity are fast deteriorating and he is running amok.
Another alternative is to get his wife to send him to London to see his daughter and son-in-law for seeking mental treatment. Maybe his arrogant doctor son and director at Parkway Health for his admission to the psychiatric ward.
Otherwise, the words emerging from his ass holes are getting mor and more stinkier.

The best outcome is if the PAP splits.
But Goh Choke Tong is not the best guy to champion it.

I believe that looking at Mr Goh’s age, he should already retire. He already made enough money to retire comfortably in Singapore or overseas.
And with the current “in-fighting” going on between Mr Goh and PM, I think that Mr Goh intentionally wants the Marine Parade GRC to fall and hence the “jokes” about TPL, 2-term remark (a swipe at MM) etc. It seems to be working. As can be seen now, there has been increasing criticisms on his leadership and credibility.
The opportunity is there for the taking, he will give it away. It is an open invitation to a credible opposition party to take. Mr Goh has nothing to lose really. He has served his time, so now it’s time to hand over to a better team but not PAP.
Mr Goh has has had enough of the treatment by MM and PM and couldn’t do much with his hands tied during his tenure as PM and now SM. I believe he has come to a point where he wants to teach the Lees a lesson. And what better than to dismantle the very dictatorial system that the Lees had built by letting Marine Parade GRC to fall into the hands of opposition. PAP may or may not eventually hold majority but this GE2011 will be the beginning of a new dawn for Singapore.

The Oppos agenda/manifesto should include: 1. The President and PM appts shall be limited to 2 term for a holder(We have many scholars and they should be given the chance instead of keeping these appts to one or two holders for life; SM Goh precisely meant that but he indirectly mentioned Ministers. Pinky being a dud tried to run down the SM without realising the truth, but the voters could decide on this).
2. NS shall be be 1 year(SDP has the answers).
3. PRs/foreigenrs to be capped at 15-20% of native population! PAP is going round in circles and conveniently avoid to talk on what the “CAP” should be. They just want us to be flooded like what happened in Orchard Rd and many parts of S’pore.
4. All political appts’ pay shall be reduced by at least 30-40%. All sinecure appts(MM, SM etc) shall be scrapped.
Think big Oppos, Cheers and good luck!

The real story is this. We all know MM wants to put a spy in SM’s team and of all people MM chose Ms Tin. We all know how unqualified Ms Tin is but she still asked to join SM’s GRC. Ms Tin is a liability for SM and may even cause him to lose his GRC. Is this good or bad for PAP?
Ah ha- think about it, this may be MM’s last election. The only non-Lee more senior than PM is the SM. If SM is out of parliment having lost his GRC, the PM is free to rule his little kingdom without having to entertain the SM. Even if SM survives, PM will have a spy to report back just in case the SM is trying to plot something.
This is a strategic move by the Lees to secure their dynasty. And now you would understand why SM is saying ministers should have a cap on the number of terms they can serve in future which the PM is disagreeing. You can start to see the cracks in the MM SM alliance.

Let’s give Goh a break. We can see his sincerity to recreate Swiss standard of living here but unfortunately he was under-utilised as a seat-warmer. We can also see how reluctant he was to be pulled in to sue Chee for defamation. His wife is a Buddhist, though made mistake in words sometimes, does influence Goh’s belief in karma. We can understand how frustrated he was. He also had enough of the circus game in the party. He may be another target or torn in the eye to be removed, like another OTC. But his health and patience will outlast the old man. Let’s watch who is the last straw that throw the camel off. You may be surprised.

After reading so many articles abt SM Goh. I’m starting to believe the conspiracy theories that some TR reader had proposed.
Its quite clear to me now, that SM Goh has a plan of his own. After reading back on his iconic negative comments, esp these few years.. All I could said is that he could be trying to sabotaging the PAP and bring them towards their downfall.
For better or worst, the conspiracy I believe, suggested that he could be tired of the Lee family and how they have been abusing their power on him.
And let’s not forget the fact that 2 of our late Presidents, had been silence off by the Lee family. Do you think its wise for SM Goh to publicly defy the King?
If I’m in his position, I would too, adopt the same strategy
Priority, is try to keep myself within the circle of power.
Action Plan is to slowly drain the popularity of the party.
Ultimate Goal is to restore the balance in the parliament.

It’s just a theory of mine. I admit, I’ve had the impression that he’s just a woody. But it just dawned on me, what has he got to lose now? So what if he loses his seat/GRC? What’s in it for him to continue running and be a thorn in the dynasty? Maybe just the million-dollar salary. What if he is above that? He could just easily lose the GRC, hand it over to opposition on a silver platter. Then what next? Retire, maybe leave Singapore. Or still be active in politics, but this time as opposition, perhaps lead a new generation of oppositions.
Need someone on the inside to corroborate my theory. Hope someone inside is brave enough to spill some beans on the cracks/factions forming inside PAP. Interesting times. Who among the Yesmen have the balls to break from the dynasty shackles?

So Swiss Standards is actually a Goal to achieve. In some way, we did achieve but definitely not 100%. W/out Goal, we hv no vision.
our neighbours minister maybe only 30% of ours minister. BUT thier wealth is definitelly >300% > then our ministers. And , they never perform even 10% of our minister performance.
So we rather have a high pay ministers that delivered then a low pay ministers who perform little BUT yet njoy greater wealth (somehow)…
Important , Spore is a safe and great place to stay compare to all our neighbours….so why envy our low pay (but super personal rich) neighours ministers then?
Spore has turn from a fishing village ( many question why now need SM+ MM when in LKY time dun hv?)…into a world class. So just like SME into MNC we need more dept to focus and protect those achievement.
MM and SM have high respect from advance country… They opinion is highly seek. They have build reputation n connection…
which our neighbour lack…n our ex-PM unlike our neighour ex, will not ridicule the successor… see the saga in our neighbour..from 1 story to another…just to get him out underhandedly

OPEN LETTER TO SM GOH CHOK TONG
Dear SM Goh,
Todayonline, 5th April, 2011 reported that you ridiculed farmers in less developed countries that they have no understanding about quality of life. It is embarrassing that a senior statesman like yourself has such a narrow vision of quality of life. What kind of message do you intend to give to the younger generation? It also insults people like us who depend on land and nature for survival.
Your definition of quality of life seem to be amassing money to a degree that exceeds sanity and morality. Please pause and think that 99.9% of the population on earth does not have the privilege like yourself to collect a salary of $3.8 million, plus your pension, plus bonus payment, plus director’s fees, etc. Does it imply that most of us lack any meaningful quality of life?
I live a simple and comfortable retired life with my wife for less than S$1,200 a month* or what you made in less than an hour. We built our own modest 1,500 sq feet house in Sechelt, Canada for less than the price of a 4 room HDB flat. It has a view that rivals the best in Singapore. I do fishing, crab trapping, picking wild berries, attending to my fruit trees and some vegetables. We do all our house chores like marketing, cooking, washing and keeping the house clean and tidy without any maid or outside help. You may call it “low quality of life” but we enjoy ourselves tremendously and found true happiness in what we do. There is no shame in using our hands. In fact we are proud that, in our mid sixties, we are able to live independently and survive happily largely on nature. It may be something rich people like yourself think otherwise.
To verify and lend creditability to my story, I challenge you to send reporters and spend a week living in my house and write a report of their stay. One of the reporters can be from Straits Times and the other must be from a neutral news media.
I am willing to put S $10,000 in trust with a reputable law firm to reimburse the two reporters for their cost of travel if they find what I said not to be true. However, you should also put up S$10,000 to reimburse those people you have insulted who live on nature. I will donate this amount to a charity organization.
The S$10,000 is a huge amount for a retiree like me. On the other hand, S$10,000 is definitely peanuts for you. You make that in less time than going to the bathroom. Sir, please put money where your mouth is and prove me wrong.
Looking forward to your early reply.
Yours Respectfully,
Cheong Wing Lee
Sechelt, B.C
Canada.
* Cost of living breakdown per month:: Groceries $400, travel and petrol $100, sinking fund $100, utilities (gas, electricity, water) $40, TV cable $75, fishing and crab license $5, general expenses $300 to 400. (No mortgage or car payments)

Just attend functions and grin and come up with one or two liners smart comments.
Go and see how our locals are being bullied and suffering at their workplaces working till way beyond sunset by their FT bosses and paid slave wages compared to our million dollar easy money self-allocated high and mighty ministers who can find time to go house viewing for properties.
It’s legalized robbery.
Now Shitty Times carry stories every day about the salaries of the high fliers in the business and commercial world. What’s the purpose? To soft sell and justify the high salaries for them right. You think we are bloody fools.
