Minister ‘keeping a close eye’ or ‘closed eye’?

If Uncle Leong is right there were at least price increases for 10 things in the last nine months or so*.

And taking a dig at Lim Hng Kiang who said “the Government will keep a close eye on business costs to ensure they do not rise excessively”, Uncle Leong asked

“Keeping a close eye” or “closed eye”?

Uncle Leong trying to audition for the PAP comedy stand-up club where Hng Kiang and Tharman are founder members?

Whatever, my take is that the PAP is trying to regain the “Pay And Pay” tag that it tried to shake between 2011 and 2015.

Still want to give them 70% mandate? Keep it at 60% or lower. And it’s easy to do this. All those that voted for Oppo in 2011, but voted for the PAP in 2o15 ingratitude for the goodies that the PAP gave S’poreans using S’poreans’ money should vote for the Oppo again in 2019. Even if that means voting for Goh Meng Seng and TJS.

Here are some recent articles and analysis of these “price increase” issues:

Not enough money, not enough ideas, or just never plan? The 70% enabled a lazy government.

Keeping a close eye – thats correct. Its because MANY if NOT all of PAP’s ministers are AFFECTED by that kind of myopia that A HUGE NUMBER of Sg school children is DESEASED with, and this myopia is RANKED world number one in the world – under the PAP, she likes to be world first this world first that.

PS. Sg school children are ranked regularly as at the worlds highest incidence of myopia among school going kids. Check this out. Many years ago, a school contractor was complaining on a radio talk show, hosted by Joo Kim, that so many schools ‘whiteboards’ are so poorly designed and constructed because of the huge glare reflected such that the students ALL are ‘blinded’ strenously when they look at the boards. Besides, the ceiling lights reflection worsened the lights from the windows casted on the boards.

No no no, 60% of the votes is too high for them liao. It has to be 53% and lower at the minimum.

Consider this, 60% of the votes meant they still had the super majority in parliament after 2 overpiad good for nothings were kicked out. If we are looking at a coalition government in 2019 or 2020 then they must get below 35% of the votes.

Sadly, with all these kiasees around the best we can hope for is 55% of the vote for them. You all know what is going to happen, they will once again use their dead founder’s image to remind the pioneers to show gratitude (that word again) and also scare voters that PAP might not be in charge so Singapore surely will be gone case etc etc.

It’s going to be quite the battle to make them lose more than 3 GRCs I reckon.

We are beginning to see the effects of high costs of doing business here..

More retail shops are closing down….more jobs will be lost.

When will they wake up and face harsh reality on the ground ?
