PAP’s Slippery Road of Grandiosity

Recently there are a few seemingly “unrelated” news that would piece up together to give us a fuller picture.

1) PAP government claims money not enough, need to increase tax.

2) PAP government wants to cut down funding to FAS by 50% claiming that it could survive with that, despite the already dismay performance and broken promise of not achieving World Cup 2010.

3) PAP government had spent $10 billion on Changi Airport Terminal 5 but now claims that travelers may need to pay for it.

4) Earlier on, PAP government was found to spend lots of money of $800k on a rubbish dump, which “consultancy cost” come up to half of that price tag.

5) Despite of putting up claim that “social spending” has increased, there is apparently no data to support that claim to show that social welfare spending has increased at higher rate against other spending. In fact, Government spending on Medifund had decreased.

Well, why is PAP government asking for more money while committing lots of spending on “GRAND” projects with hefty price tags?

In Chinese, there is a saying “打肿脸皮充胖子“。。。literally “slap one’s face until it’s swollen in an effort to look imposing” or “do something beyond one’s means in order to be impressive”. It basically means that PAP is on the slippery road of Grandiosity, while their tax revenue has become unreliable and weak.

On a second note, do we really need to raise tax to finance the normal operations of Singapore? I seriously doubt so but that would be discussed in another day, another thought article.

What the present million dollars paid PAPies are doing:

    - mass import of foreigners
    - senseless massive spending to beautify sg
    - when money no enough, just raise this fee, raise that charge, and increase this tax, reduce that subsidy
    - when problems happened, dodge the bullets and point fingers

which oppo party can’t do the same and take over from them to run the country?

Did we pay millions to feed supposedly the cream of the crop or cream of the crooks?

The PAP government has probably been living beyond its means for quite some time. It may introduce some austerity measures but it is more likely to raise taxes to augment funds to finance grandiose projects. PM Lee’s administration is in disarray and this has resulted in a broken economy. The nation will soon suffer an economic regression. In the meantime, the PAP government will continue with its ruse that all is hunky dory.

Can con, con. Can Steal, steal. Can rob, rob. There are millions of inexhaustible human ATMs to service their insatiable ambition to be first in this and top in that. Like a puppy chasing its own tails it never ends. And the benefits seldom trickles down to the people anymore nowadays. The people are financing a Monster that bits the hand that feed him. Good luck to the retarded Singaporeans who voted the PAP time and again.

Didn’t the people gave the PAP government a blank cheque to spend less than two years ago in GE 2015? What more do they want, next – our lives. Don’t hold your breath, this might be what they want if you ever gave them a blank cheaque again.

Go read my note on how ridiculous is their pay structure for Ministers & Civil Servants.

Fixed Pay Component of 16 months guaranteed;& Variable Pay Component ie. Bonus & Performance related amount to 14 to 16 months on average & not including GDP bonus if triggered. Where in the world does Private Sector renumeration compared with PAP’s system of paying themselves millions & multiple times on performance? When I researched on their pay structure, I almost felt ill & nauseated after reading on how their pay was constructed & determined. It was as if nothing was sufficient for them – the level of greed shown in their pay structure was ridiculous. No wonder they would like to continue their ruse that all (the economy) is hunky dory, not when millions of dollars are riding on them to trigger their payouts.

You want to talk about PAP any old how spend $$$$ I think that nothing will ever beat that $1 billion Bishan Park makeover.

Doesn’t benefit the majority of Singaporeans since most do not use Bishan Park on a regular basis. Just another vanity project with a big price tag. You ask the PAP to spend the same $1 billion on healthcare or helping needy people and out come the excuses cannot this cannot that.

Is T5 really necessary? I don’t see people travelling in the large numbers before the 2008 recession. So T5 is a white elephant.
Personally i eant to have moratorium on any more big capital projects as Singapore is overbuilt and maintenance costs are costing a fortune.
