Temasek Charter found to be meaningless after record corruption case at Keppel

According to the Temasek Charter, it engages the boards and managements of it portfolio companies to “foster a deep culture of integrity …”.

Reality:
It did not engage Keppel (probably other portfolio companies as well) or it would have been aware of Keppel’s corrupt practices which had gone on for 13 years.

How could widespread corruption not have been detected by Temasek?

(Temasek clearly also did not engage SMRT or it would have sorted out “deep seated cultural issues” and not allow major train disruptions to become the norm.)

Guess the Temasek Charter only looks good on paper but is really meaningless.

  • Perception is your reality:

Corruption should be allowed for all if justice is to be equally applied to all and not animal farm.

Once corruption is Legalised, it’s as legal as Prostitution and Gambling.

Once it’s Legalised, it’s no longer illegal.

//pap BS about paying more to avoid corruption. US$422m in corruption fines for corruption//

haha. the white idiots want more pay (who doesn’t). the white idiots know that corruption is bad (well most people believe so). so clever white idiots (clever becos sinkie land has many daft sinkies) put one and one together to give daft sinkies such wonderful “equation” – pay more to avoid corruption.

//that is why INSIDE 200m is not within 200m jalan.//

no wonder sinkie land has so many daft sinkies becos even learned white idiotic judges can be so f wayang in favor of the white idiots. somehow, the learned judges have decided to discount how those white idiots and gang managed to get INSIDE 200m in the first place.

  • Henry Hazlitt says:

“The proposal is frequently made that the government ought to assume the risks that are ‘too great for private industry.’ This means that bureaucrats should be permitted to take risks with the tax payers’ money that no one is willing to take with his own. Such a policy would lead to evils of many different kinds. It would lead to favoritism: to the making of loans to friends, or in return for bribes. It would inevitably lead to scandals. It would lead to recriminations whenever the taxpayers’ money was thrown away on enterprises that failed. It would increase the demand for socialism: for, it would properly be asked, if the government is going to bear the risks, why should it not also get the profits? What justification could there possibly be, in fact, for asking the taxpayers to take the risks while permitting private capitalists to keep the profits?”
