Singaporeans who still believe PAP is serving them may need a psychiatric appointment

PAP ceased serving Singaporeans decades ago after it had discovered the people were a huge diamond mine.

This was confirmed when PM Lee mentioned there were “easy ways” to generate economic growth, ie profiting from citizens. (Today)

It’s not difficult to do so when a super majority PAP could pass any legislation, such as defining “CPF retirement savings” as “state reserves”.  Or force HDB “lessees” to pay property tax because it has preferred to call us “owners”. “Indian” = “Malay” President and what not.

To PAP, Singaporeans are merely their ATMs and billions in revenue can be easily generated:
1. Including land cost in HDB flats – land which lessees never owned.
2. Confiscating about half of CPF investment returns. (assuming GIC did make 6% long-term returns)
3. Reduce the ownership of private vehicles to 10 years with the COE scheme.
4. Inflate MediShield insurance premiums at whim.
5. Delay CPF withdrawal by forcing members to accept pay-until-you-kaput installments.
etc

With minimal transparency and MSM to do its ‘dirty’ work, PAP was already rotten to the core decades ago.

Every year, PAP is preoccupied with having to think of ways to promote cronies, many retiring top civil servants/paper generals, to senior positions in GLCs or the civil service.

Million-dollar positions are running out and as such, new portfolios/additional directorships will have to be created.  For example, despite shrinking student cohort sizes, a new $1.1 million ministerial post was created.

A decade earlier, PAP-created ‘mayor’ positions paid obscene amounts in tax dollars to cronies. (This should make you puke)

There are too many similar instances of PAP’s ‘self service’ and the common sense question to ask:

How could PAP have been serving the people when they were busy distributing the spoils among themselves?

Today, PAP has even less time to ‘serve’ because ministers and civil servants are also fighting self-created fires.

Due to the promotion of jiak liow bee cronies into leadership positions, Singapore’s infrastructure is now buckling under the weight of PAP’s incompetence, eg in healthcare (up to a year for public hospital appointments, insufficient hospital beds, etc), transportation (daily morning jam along TPE from Punggol to Loyang and other roads, guaranteed MRT major disruptions and station shut downs), etc.

Since limited public resources have been diverted to the civil service ‘SCDF’ department to fight such fires, is it a wonder that ordinary citizens suffer?

In fixing opposition parties, civil servants also devote their time to serving their political paymaster PAP.  Serving citizens becomes incidental.

What about public resources used to conceal material information, eg revamping government websites, deleting/amending data, etc?

Weren’t civil servants also roped in to help ensure there would be no ‘redemption’ of CPF funds, ie CPF total balances continue to increase?

Did PAP not abuse the civil service to elect a select Malay-but-maybe-Indian President?

To defend PM Lee against allegations of power abuse by his siblings required a huge amount of public resources which Singaporeans could ill afford.  Where is the time for PAP to serve?

PAP wayangs are not something that can be easily pulled off and the only way is with massive assistance from the civil service.

To do so could mean only one thing: civil servants are not serving Singaporeans.

The reality is ordinary citizens have been screwed and will continue to be.  In fact, PAP has already planned to do so after GE2020 with the 2% GST hike.

Clearly, Singaporeans who continue to deny reality – PAP not serving citizens – may be suffering from a form of chronic delusional disorder.  They should get it treated soonest possible.

@Phillip, it is not a disorder. It should be closer to stupidity. Unfortunately, stupidity has no cure!! Maybe stupid people love being screwed. That’s the reason we have 70% handover their rights and money to the PAP with both hands.

It’s tough to get the kiasees to face reality when they just die die do not want to accept it.

I’m just waiting to see how many of the kiasees wake the hell up in the next GE. Could we get more than 10% to do so and make PAP go below 60% of the votes?

I tell you this. I don’t know if we will first be killed by the mess created by a certain party, or our low TFR. 7 years later, we will be in hardship and it is unlikely for us to survive as a nation 12-13 years from now. But the country’s leaders kept running away from the problem and I have never heard this addressed in a national day rally since a long time ago.
